I know I've asked this question before, but it's my favorite, and I like getting new views on it.

The more I think about it, the more I realize that my personal spirituality is more in line with songs such as "Strawberry Fields Forever" and "Breathe" than any dogma of an organized religion.

And when you get right down to it, is there any differance between reading the words written by man in the Bible and applying them to your life, or listening to the words sung by man on Dark Side of the Moon or the White Album and doing the same?

I'm not suggesting that I have alters to these musical artists or that I pray to them for guidance, more like I listen to what they have to say and think "Yeah... I can dig that."

What do you think of this? Wrong? Right? Crazy?

In closing, I'll leave you with my favorite scene from the movie Michael.

Why do Christians assume that if you believe in Evolution, you're an atheist?

I'm a muslim and I believe in evolution.

So why is it that evolution = atheist stereotype?

Assuming humanity makes it...

Will Christian's have re-thought their beliefs (since Jesus obviously wouldn't have appeared?)

Will the planet be entirely without religion, or of a single religion?

Will people still be asking why monkeys still exist?

Will evolution still be debatable?

That there is a gap of time between Genesis 1:1 and Genesis 1:2, so that verses 2 and following are not an account of God creating the earth and everything in it, but it's an account of Him restoring it ?

it mentioned here the holyspirit as the one who sends the Quran to Muhammad (P):

[102] Say Ruh-ul-Qudus (holy spirit) has brought it down from your Lord with truth, that it may make firm and strengthen (the Faith of) those who believe, and as a guidance and glad tidings to those who have submitted

and again the holyspirit is mentioned as the one who supported Jesus during his time:

"Do not judge others"

I tried time and time again to advice it to the Christians who are hatemongering. But for some reason, they never listen.

So, the "do not judge others" thang, how does it properly applied, could you give me an example?

And let say.....Atheists, yes, atheists, like Stalin, if you say all atheists are communists based on Stalin, can I apply the "do not judge others" thang?

Why did God only have one Son? He's God, he could have as many sons as he wanted, right?

Did God have an accident rendering him sterile after he begat Jesus? Or maybe he did have other sons, it's just they were all lazy no account bums?

And why no daughters? Was God a sexist who didn't want a daughter?

If people aren't listening to God, why doesn't God just find another virgin down here and beget another holy child, maybe this time a daughter, and see if more people take heed this time around?

It seems pretty clear that although Jesus did a fairly decent job, he didn't make a clean sweep of things down here. If saving as many of his creations as possible is important to God, don't you think he could find it within himself to take time out of his busy schedule and come down here and get on with begetting with another virgin, so another holy child could do a touchup job?

The nuisance makers why they are protected by the Ward officers,the local police station,the union leaders?Can an individual can go and create dirt in someone elses home?like in your locality some one else encroach your footpath with the help of goondas and dadas where to raise our voice against their irregularities? Can't we have the right to protect our footpaths? Why the strpped Telas are roving around and cause inconvienience to the traffic,local citizens,Can't the police impound that telas and rip the wheels open and use the top for charity institutions? Is the goverment aware that they are loosing crores of rupees because of these elements?these people do whatever they want by palmgreasing respective government servants and most of the notorious activities are creation of these people !!!!Common man is is nothing but a filling of like sandwich between the system and his / her survival!!!even if he want to create awarness he is numbed down by the bureaucrats?Why?Oh mumbai?

I'm wondering where in the bible it says that we have the right to eat animals? I'm a semi-vegetarian eating mostly fish and lots of veggies and fruits but everybody around me seem to dislike the idea.. When I tell them that I don't eat red meat because of the cruel ways they are raised and killed they attack me saying that according to the bible Jesus said that it is completely OK to kill and eat all living animals.

Truthfully I don't know if that is true or not, but I would like to know what to tell them to shut them up and let them know that there thoughts are wrong!!!

I would appreciate any comments and suggestions, thanks

The CATHOLIC religion is WRONG, NOT YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Christening does NOT get ANYone into Heaven! That's a bold face LIE!!!!!!!! All christening does is make the PARENTS agree to raise the children in a Christian home! That's ALL!!!! *Nothing* more!!!!

"Getting into Heaven" is up to the individual! NO ONE can MAKE someone go to Heaven!

If you're concerned about the welfare of your girls, I'd say take them to a HOLY SPIRIT FULL Bible Filled Church!!!! And thumb your nose at that huge, huge, cult!

What are your thoughts about someone who gives this type of advice?

Try this at home.....take a couple of pounds of grapes from the supermarket, crush them up to make juice, store in an earthenware container (what they had 2000 years ago), store at room temp (no refridgeration back then)....wait four days....guess what you have......WINE (6%).....it was alcohol PERIOD!


Source: I've made my own wine from grape for 20 yrs.
