Assuming humanity makes it...

Will Christian's have re-thought their beliefs (since Jesus obviously wouldn't have appeared?)

Will the planet be entirely without religion, or of a single religion?

Will people still be asking why monkeys still exist?

Will evolution still be debatable?

BUTTERFLY - that seems to be your all-purpose answer. If you don't want to think, or offer thoughtful HUMAN answers, why come here? Any fool can make trite "ask god" comments. Why not represent your beliefs by engaging in discourse?

This forum won't be around 10,000 years from now, even if humanity is - technology changes too rapidly. Christians will not re-think their beliefs because we will still believe that Christ will return when it is the right time. There will still be many religions because Satan will still be at work deceiving people. Some people will continue to ask why monkey's still exist. And yes, evolution will still be a debated topic, as long as people don't want to believe in God.

I'm thinking they'd be asking their Archaeo-anthropologists why they don't have some form of Rosetta stone, so they can decipher this.
Aren't they going to be disappointed when they do...

Let's see, now.
Will Christian's have re-thought their beliefs (since Jesus obviously wouldn't have appeared?)
Can't say, not my field.
Will the planet be entirely without religion, or of a single religion?
Diversity will probably out. I'm thinking multiple faiths.
Will people still be asking why monkeys still exist?
Absolutely. What do you use for breakfast table conversation in your household?
Will evolution still be debatable?
Debateable as in questionable, or as a subject of debate?
(Hopefully, in ten thousand years time, the English language will have evolved sufficiently to overcome the 'word with two possible meanings' affliction it currently suffers).

The Wiccan Rede
(Full Version)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Bide within the Law you must, in perfect Love and perfect Trust.
Live you must and let to live, fairly take and fairly give.

For tread the Circle thrice about to keep unwelcome spirits out.
To bind the spell well every time, let the spell be said in rhyme.

Light of eye and soft of touch, speak you little, listen much.
Honor the Old Ones in deed and name,
let love and light be our guides again.

Deosil go by the waxing moon, chanting out the joyful tune.
Widdershins go when the moon doth wane,
and the werewolf howls by the dread wolfsbane.

When the Lady's moon is new, kiss the hand to Her times two.
When the moon rides at Her peak then your heart's desire seek.

Heed the North winds mighty gale, lock the door and trim the sail.
When the Wind blows from the East, expect the new and set the feast.

When the wind comes from the South, love will kiss you on the mouth.
When the wind whispers from the West, all hearts will find peace and rest.

Nine woods in the Cauldron go, burn them fast and burn them slow.
Birch in the fire goes to represent what the Lady knows.

Oak in the forest towers with might, in the fire it brings the God's
insight. Rowan is a tree of power causing life and magick to flower.

Willows at the waterside stand ready to help us to the Summerland.
Hawthorn is burned to purify and to draw faerie to your eye.

Hazel-the tree of wisdom and learning adds its strength to the bright fire burning.
White are the flowers of Apple tree that brings us fruits of fertility.

Grapes grow upon the vine giving us both joy and wine.
Fir does mark the evergreen to represent immortality seen.

Elder is the Lady's tree burn it not or cursed you'll be.
Four times the Major Sabbats mark in the light and in the dark.

As the old year starts to wane the new begins, it's now Samhain.
When the time for Imbolc shows watch for flowers through the snows.

When the wheel begins to turn soon the Beltane fires will burn.
As the wheel turns to Lamas night power is brought to magick rite.

Four times the Minor Sabbats fall use the Sun to mark them all.
When the wheel has turned to Yule light the log the Horned One rules.

In the spring, when night equals day time for Ostara to come our way.
When the Sun has reached it's height time for Oak and Holly to fight.

Harvesting comes to one and all when the Autumn Equinox does fall.
Heed the flower, bush, and tree by the Lady blessed you'll be.

Where the rippling waters go cast a stone, the truth you'll know.
When you have and hold a need, harken not to others greed.

With a fool no season spend or be counted as his friend.
Merry Meet and Merry Part bright the cheeks and warm the heart.

Mind the Three-fold Laws you should three times bad and three times good.
When misfortune is enow wear the star upon your brow.

Be true in love this you must do unless your love is false to you.

These Eight words the Rede fulfill:

"An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will"

Well, since it doesn't say when Jesus will appear, I doubt Christians 10,000 years from now would doubt their beliefs since the world is still going and there's still time for him to pop up. If anyone is reading this 10,000 years from now, they'd probably die from boredom and think our computers were primative. They'd probably also wonder why so many people were cowardly and could only be big shots online. Then they'd laugh.

The Romans/vikings/tudors/stuarts/victorians aren't the name of generations. Those are the names of specific royal families, or empires (in the case of Rome) or nation/people in the case of the vikings. So basically, the answer to your question depends on what you mean. ARe you talking about Americans today? Or British? There are ppl from a lot of different countries on this site. And we're not all royal either. If you mean in general what we will be called. Probably we will be remembered for being the first generation of people to use the internet and stuff.

Since human nature is a 'constant'
every human has his/her own 'EGO' that does not allow for real objectivity to come into play
human mind has its own limitations
individuals have their own perceptions that form the opinion they hold on anything and everything.
then there are always people who would want to create an opinion and propagate and defend it for some selfish reasons or other
etc.,etc.,

thus I opine

"There would be a conflict of opinion as it exists today of what we think of our ancestors."

If they were to observe our questions and answers I think they would probably believe that we are all residents of a home for the insane. By then I would hope they would have learned to get along and let other people just be who they are.

as it is my opinion that sarcasam is a dieing art. and means of humor, i would assume that they would fail to understand many jokes and take literaly things said by many people. myself included.

i guess that we would seem as barbaric as we precieve the people of 2000 to 4000 years ago.

They will think we were far wiser than they, because we could still read and write, even though a lot of us write "alot" a lot.
