No, I'm not Bible-bashing. I'm just curious for the sake of thought experimentation... What would you do if you were given evidence that proves to YOU personally that Jesus is the son of God, Savior etc.?

I know that not all religions specifically state this, but they do promote love of all people. Why are so many people here full of hate?
I'm tired of hearing racist talk, negative gay/lesbian talk, etc. It's really sickening.

Any advice on this would be appreciated. I come from a very religious (Mormon) family. I just got engaged to a very religious fiance. This would probably be fine and dandy, except I've realized I'm not religious. After I moved out on my own, I stopped attending the church because I had no desire to go, and didn't really see the point. I realized after I lived on my own that my true beliefs are that there is no God and that is okay with me, and I am still happy. I have not told my parents and am not sure if I should! For one, they are very closeminded and would think I had gone off the path. Today my mother was talking to me about how I need to start attending church if I ever want to be a 'good mother and good wife'. I was silent and just nodded but felt myself wondering if I can keep up this charade. I tell my fiance everything and he is my best friend, but even this I have to hide. I am not sure how I can live this double life, but the truth I think would hurt them too much?

Modern humans have been on earth for 100,000 years, have been farming for at least 15,000 years and have been writing for about 10,000. Why did God wait so long to send His only son. Wouldn't it have made more sense to send him before everyone split up? By sending him to Israel 2000 years ago, does that mean He didn't care about the people in Asia, Australia, and the Americas at the time? It would have been much more efficient to have 3 or more sones appear to the Roman, Chinese, and Mayan emperors to spread his word. Please explain why God loved the Jews more and chose to "save" them first.

The Guards' Report
11While the women were on their way, some of the guards went into the city and reported to the chief priests everything that had happened. 12When the chief priests had met with the elders and devised a plan, they gave the soldiers a large sum of money, 13telling them, "You are to say, 'His disciples came during the night and stole him away while we were asleep.' 14If this report gets to the governor, we will satisfy him and keep you out of trouble." 15So the soldiers took the money and did as they were instructed. And this story has been widely circulated among the Jews to this very day.

Many Christians advocate for prayer in schools, understandably. My question is: Would you want prayer in schools if, say, the prayer practices incorporated were those if Islam, Hinduism, or LDS? Would it be okay if the practice at your child's school was for the children to face Mecca 5 times a day and pray? How do you choose the correct prayer to teach in schools? Although most Americans are Christian, is it fair for the Muslim children to be subjected to Christian prayer practices? And if you do incorporate prayer in schools, how do you make it equal? I hope that you are not so ethnocentric as the think that only Christianity should be incorporated. Please explain. Thanks.

Why is it that every magic based question is always directed at Pagans? Do people not realize all Pagans are not practitioners of that?

I'll admit, I am, but more as an intellectual exercise.

My kids grandmother is pressuring me to christened my daughters. As they're mother I want the best for my girls.Problem is I think of myself as not being the best mother they could have gotten. I'm not an athiest but I'm not religous ,was never brought up that way. I go to a catholic church to save face and fake being a good role model for them.Because I have a hard time understanding what going on in mass I don't want to be there. I guess my concern is how do I set the example or create a relationship between my daughters and God if i can't myself? Their father's family are all catholic so I don't want to affend but I feel affended by the church. Seven years ago with my first attempt to christend the priest was unwilling because my daughter was out of wedlock.I know I am a sinner but they are not and that makes me angry.I don't want to be a part of a community that feel the need to do God's work of jugding. I'm at a lost with faith. If I am wrong please share your opinions and advice.

Sounds to me like it's just a boring place.
Too much happiness.

Frankly I enjoy being sad, vulnerable, worried, etc.
It wouldn't be so interesting to be eternally happy.

Lord Hanuman brought sita ji back, he saved lakshman by getting the sanjivini buti, he saved shri ram and lakshman from ahiravan when ahiravan was almost ready to sacrifice the lives of the duo. So is'nt Lord Hanuman the greatest ?I know my question tends to compare the powers of Hindu Gods which many people might not like and I might invite retorts to my question. However I am asking.
