God in any manifestation is greatest !
We like God as per our own mental set-up and not on logics
So If you feel Hanuman is the greatest... HE IS !!
(In Kaliyuga Hanuman is the only one form of god who can physically meet you.... as he is chiranjivi- immortal).. so that z another of his greatness
He is a great Gyani too... when asked about his relations with Lord Rama Hanumanji replied
In body consciousness I am servant of Rama
In soul Consciousness I am a part of Shri Ram
In Brahmm consciousness I am Shri Ram, myself... there is no one else
So such a statement can be said by a perfect Gyani,... not by a mere devotee.

Reading all others answer, few things i need to clearify, some1 was saying im hindu, but Lord Hanuman is just a mythology. He/She does not know the meanning of mythology, its myth = false . Ancient Vedic Scriptures are not false, for so many years peoples are worshipping Gods & Goddess. Its not false. There are some rascals they dont evern know about Hanumanji. Indeed Hanumanji is greatest, but as a devotee of Lord Ram. He does not get count in as God or Lord, he is a devotee of Lord. He is fully surrendered devotee of Lord thats why he exhibit so much power, as he can save the life and dears of Lord. Hanuman is an example of total surender to his beloved Lord.
I really sorry to say , maximum peoples here are envy of Hindu Gods. Let me tell you that the word Hindu is also wrong quoted. In Vedic Scriptures you will not find the word Hindu. Indians are God consicouses, but other who envy are dog consicouses.

I am sure it's the first time I hear about such a guy! The name sounds very strange and uncommon - however, looking at what the guy has done, I think he deserves some recognition. It seems he is a good guy. We might put him in the same rank as the likes of Mahummed, Hare Krishna, Mahatma Gandhi etc. That's the best recognition we can ascribe to him. He can even fit in the same rank as the Hindu gods - he deserves that as well.

I admire Lord Hanuman a lot. But I don't think it's wise to compare so called Gods. His acheivements were great too. Just admire Him and worship Him. Please do ot compare. He wouldn't like that too.
All the best...

Hanuman is the founder of bodybuilding and he is my older brother.
I don't care what anybody says. I will die repeating that he is my older brother. He is the personification of masculinity, godliness, virtue, dignity, strength, courage, valour, bravery and purity.
He is my older brother.

Yes, you are absolutely right.
Hanuman is the greatest devotee of Lord Sri Ramachandra.
Matsya, Kurma, Varaha, Vamana, Narasimha, Parasurama,
Ramacandra, Balarama & Krishna, Buddha and Kalki are the famous avataras of Vishnu or Krishna glorified in the Dasavatara stotra of well renowned poet Jayadeva Gosvami.
Prahlada Maharaja, the great boy devotee of Sri Narasimha, mentions the nine process Bhakti(devotional service) in the Srimad Bhagavatam 7.5.23.
1.Sravanam (hearing about Lord Vishnu or Krishna)
2.Kirtanam (chanting about Lord Vishnu or Krishna)
3.Smaranam (remembering about Lord Vishnu or Krishna
4.Padasevanam (serving the Lotus feet of Lord Vishnu or Krishna)
5.Arcanam (worshiping Lord Vishnu or Krishna)
6.Vandanam (offering prayers to Lord Vishnu or Krishna)
7.Dasyam (servitude of Lord),
8.Sakhyam (frendship with Lord) &
9.Atmanivedanam (surrendering everything to the Lord)
It is noted by the scriptures and acharyas that a particular devotee, achieved perfection or exemplifies in a particular proces, which are as follow:
1. Sravanam - King Parikshit hearer of Srimad Bhagvatam
2. Kirtanam - Sage Sukadeva Gosvami reciter of S. B.
3. Smaranam - Bhakta Prahlada
4. Padasevanam - Lakshmi
5. Archanam - Prithu Maharaja
6. Vandanam - Akrura
7. Dasyam - Hanuman about whom you have mentioned
8. Sakhyam - Arjuna, who heard Bhagavad-gita from Krishna
9. Atma nivedanam - Bali Maharaja.
Hanuman is noted for his service attitude. Almost all the pictures of Sita Rama Laksmana Hanuman depict Hanuman with folded hands kneeling in front of Lord Ramachandra. In some pictures it is seen that Hanuman is touching the feet of Lord Rama. Hanuman jumped the ocean, but when the Lord wanted to cross the ocean by His will stones floated on the ocean and the Lord used it as bridge. If the stones could float on the ocean making a bridge, surely the Lord could jump accross ocean in a leap. In fact the Lord is seated as Paramatma in everyone's heart. He could simply manifest Himself whereever He wants without even jumping. The Lord wants to glorify His servant more than Himself and thus gives the chance for the people to glorify Hanuman for his herculean task of Jumping over ocean to find mother Sita, Jumping over ocean with a huge mountain in his hand. This mentality of the Lord to glorify his servants or devotees is natural just as a father wants to see his sons excel him in all fields and be glorious. Even in the battlefield of Kuruksetra Krishna by showing the Visva Rupa to Arjuana indicated that He had killed the evil kings, but He wanted Arjuna to take credit for winning the battlefield and be glorious.
Excerpt from the purport to (Srimad Bhagavatam 3.1.43 by A.C.Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, Founder-Acharya of ISKCON (International Society for Krishna Consciousness)
In His manifestation of visva-rupa, the Lord expressed His mission of killing as follows: "I have willingly descended on the earth in My capacity of inexorable Time in order to decrease the unwanted population. I shall finish all those who have assembled here except you, the Pandavas. This killing does not wait for you to take part in it. It is already arranged: all will be killed by Me. If you want to become famous as the hero of the battlefield and thus enjoy the booty of war, then, O Savyasaci, fust become the immediate cause of this killing and thus take the credit. I have already killed all the great warriors—Bhishma, Drona, Jayadratha, Karna and many other great generals. Do not worry. Fight the battle and be famous as a great hero." (Bhagavad-gita 11.32-34)
The Lord always wants to see His devotee as the hero of some episode which He Himself performs. He wanted to see His devotee and friend Arjuna as the hero of the Battle of Kuruksetra, and thus He waited for all the miscreants of the world to assemble.
