The Guards' Report
11While the women were on their way, some of the guards went into the city and reported to the chief priests everything that had happened. 12When the chief priests had met with the elders and devised a plan, they gave the soldiers a large sum of money, 13telling them, "You are to say, 'His disciples came during the night and stole him away while we were asleep.' 14If this report gets to the governor, we will satisfy him and keep you out of trouble." 15So the soldiers took the money and did as they were instructed. And this story has been widely circulated among the Jews to this very day.

Why on earth would a Jew care what the gospel of Mathew says? It's an account of events that only Christians believe. Hardly historical evidence and would never hold up historical standards. Or in the modern judicial system, you're basing your whole case on hearsay.

I'm not a Jew, but a born again Christian. I can still answer this, though, which is an easy question to answer. The Jews don't believe in Jesus Christ because they don't believe that Christ came; they are still waiting for Christ's first coming. Of course, Jesus already came: He was born, lived and preached among the people, then died on the cross and rose from the dead. He fulfilled His Father's will once, so He already came, as the New Testament says. In the Jewish religion, Christ has not yet come to earth, so according to their belief, they still await His first coming - not His second, though when Jesus returns, it WILL be His second - and LAST coming to earth, which is the day of judgment. The Jews today STILL believe that Christ's body was stolen instead of being resurrected from the dead, which is why they only follow the Old Testament instead of the New.

Umm, yeah, most Jews are of the opinion that the entire NT is a fiction compiled by paul, and could care less what it has to say. It's like asking a Jew to explain the protocols..

well, I can verify that the final sentence is untrue- as I've never seen this story circulated.

So- are you just looking for some excuse to hate jews, or do you already hate jews are are trying to get more people to hate jews by digging up something written 2000 years ago and blaming all jews today?

You are basing your comment on the assumption that the Gospels themselves are not full of lies. If your basic premise is wrong, everything that follows is wrong.

Hmm. That's not in my bible.
