I think that "God told me to do it" or "The Devil made me do it" does not hold up in a court of law. And for good reason.

I would like to agree with you but I'm afraid I can't. The two things you are comparing are like trying to compare apples and oranges.

The law must remain unbiased regardless of any extenuating circumstances. For example, a young man was tried and convicted of 2nd degree murder because he used a knife to protect himself from another guy who had sworn to beat him to a pulp. Is that justice? It was. I served on the jury. God's justice is not based on words only. He looks much deeper into a person before making a judgement. That is true justice. Our laws are for the wealthy. If that young man had had a decent attorney he probably would have been found innocent. The attorney couldn't even remember the kids name but as a juror it was my responsibility to follow the letter of the law. I did. Thanks be to God that he doesnt do the same thing. You have the right to your opinion but now you have heard mine also.

I think you already have your mind made up and you're just trying to be witty. You're far from being witty but that is neither here nor there. Faith isn't based on fairy tales. Just because you don't believe in something, it doesn't mean it's a "tale". Who died and made you the judge of what's a fairy tale? You know no more than anyone else. Get off your high horse. You're intolerant and close minded and you're not interested in debate or even intelligent discussion.

You're not exactly looking at the whole situation here...

When you toss aside all the religious dogma mumbo-jumbo, underneath there is a very strict set of arbitrary dictum that directly correlate to ours in a modern context.

Religion was, after all, the first form of population control.
