That there is a gap of time between Genesis 1:1 and Genesis 1:2, so that verses 2 and following are not an account of God creating the earth and everything in it, but it's an account of Him restoring it ?

If that were true, that would mean that there was death before Adam sinned. The Bible clearly teaches that it was Adam's sin that brought death into the world.

Rom 5:12 ¶ Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

Gap Theory proponents will argue that this verse is only referring to human death. Well, the verse doesn't say that; it just says DEATH.
It would seem that Gap Theory proponents are reading their theology into the text rather than letting the text speak for itself.

The Gap Theory is un-necessary, and un-scriptural.

I believe that, yeah
It explains a lot too, that he made the earth from the leftovers
seriously
I think the moon clobbered us, and it's a chunk of earth, the moon
that's what scientists are saying too, and maybe that had something to do with it...
Or maybe that's how God starts a planet, forms it, then clobbers it with an asteroid, and now we have tides, ebb and flow...seriously!
Like the way you start a top with your finger, hold it with your thumb...and flick it!

There is a gap in time between every verse in the scripture. The Gap theory, does it really matter?? Is it winning someone to Christ? Interesting question but when I study, there are many more important events that are much more relevant

No I don't. The Bible does not teach such an idea. This notion was read INTO the Bible so as to try to marry evolutionary ideas with the Bible.
