Romans 8:29-30 "For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified."

What do you make of that? Is it predestination or foreknowledge?

I'm trying not to generalize this question, but I have noticed that many people are using the arguement that Christians do *insert some sin*, so Christianity must not be right. Why do some people say this, since Christians are people, too, and its not the people that make the religion, but the belief in the God.

It's true! They were found orbiting the sun in an elliptical orbit between Earth and Mars. For years NASA scientists had believed it to be a bone china teapot since it was impossible to disprove the claim, but it was confirmed today to be the bones of Jesus Christ!

Do you believe this is proof that Jesus was the son of God? Who else could leave their remains in the Heavens?

God (or at least the "inspired " writers of the bible didn't know:
That the earth is round
That the brain not the heart is the seat of consciousness
That bacteria and virus cause disease
That mental illness is not demon possession
That people don't live 900 years
Why didn't God know thede things?

Back in the Bible times, Jesus called the Pharisees Hypocrites. Most of us realize what it means in modern-day terms.

But back in Biblical times, the learned Pharisees understood what a hypocrite meant. So does anyone know what that word "hypocrite" actually meant at that time?

I'm a Mormon. I love that my church will always welcome me as a brother no matter where I go. You see the church is world wide. When I went to Cancun a tour guide at the Myan ruins shook my hand because he was Mormon too! I have brothers and sisters that love me every where I go! What do you love about your church? (:

Atheists mock Christians because they don't measure up to Jesus. I admit that. I also admit He came as G-d in the flesh.

If you reject Christ on His own merit, fine. But because men who attempt to follow Him are not as perfect as He was....PLEASE!

My brother threw hisself in front of a moving truck yesterday and killed hisself. He was always troubled and had struggled with alcoholism and addictioin most his life...he felt so angry and abandoned by his family.

Help me diagnose me plz. I was raised in a very power and money home. Thats all i have ever known. My father raised me telling me I was a princess and has always lavished his love on me. BUT...when I know someone is mad at me I delight in making them think they have some edge over me or some damning evidence and then watching them run to put me on trial. I get this thrill out of watching their joy at " busting me " . Its like a power thing I think ot cat and mouse. Then I get this kick out of shooting their stuff down they are using on me. Like I know that certain pple stalk me on the Net and everytime i put a question up they will be there to mock me. So I purposefully put stuff on the Net that will get them out and screaming. It feels like pulling a string on a puppet. Whats the psych term for this ? Im trying to change so plz be nice. Im not a biotch or nasty so thats not my problem. Please pray for change in my life about this ?
