Well Just look at similar Christians to Jesus today. David Koresh died in a self started fire. Jim Jones died drinking poison koolaid. Charles Manson is serving a life jail term. Benny Hinn is making a fortune on TV ripping off the gullible but hasn't been arrested yet. Kent Hovind is serving a Jail sentence for multiple counts of fraud.

Would depend on where, I suppose. Only thing you'll get the death penalty for in the US is murder, so... not here. Anyone know of a place where you could get the death penalty for... what was it again, officially? Being a pretender to the throne or something along those lines? Was it ever really clear? Most likely outcome is that he'd be institutionalized for going around preaching those things now, as he supposedly did back then.
