You will find the wilderness temptations of JESUS CHRIST in the New Testament. Try Luke or John.
If you are looking for the things the people of Isreal endured, during their 40 year exile, then I suggest the books of Exodus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy.

The story is found in the Old Testament (Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy), but you can find references to it in the New Testament; for example, Matthew 4, John 3, and Hebrews 3.

I wouldn't call them 'temptations'. I would call them 'tests of faith and obedience.'
They did so poorly that God gave them a promise:
Try reading Romans chapters 9 and 10.
