im not an atheist, but i, as an agnostic, get extremely rude and irrational behavior from christians all the time...

the difference between christians and atheists, is christians are supposed to be living by a book. their rules for life are written down. atheists arent. they arent held to those rules in your book.

so whos the hypocrite?

note: yes this is in response to that "applauding atheists question/statement"

The Bible is clear.

Jesus was a far different human than all the rest.

No other human was born with supernatural powers like he was, or supernatural intelligence.

Doesn't this qualify for an almost human God type figure? If so, how can he really relate to our sufferings & trials, since though he could feel pain, he was never mentally weak like any other human?

Is it really fair to say that a "Superhuman" human is really the same thing as a regular human, & that he understands our pain?

Surely, unless he has actually committed murder, or had lust in his heart, though he may understand how it is to be unjustly accused, it simply isn't the same as really "being in their shoes"?

Doesn't this really disqualify Jesus to be savior of man, since he really never was an ordinary human to begin with?

There is this belief that after death, our soul either goes to heaven or hell. Everyone has their own definition of heaven and hell, so everyone’s opinion differs. But, I question myself if there is such a thing as heaven or hell, because, when we are still alive, the way we are living our life, for a lot of people it could be heavenly or it could be as worse as hell. So, in your opinion, what do you think? Is there such a thing as heaven or hell or there is a scientific reason for everything that occurs in this world. And what really in your opinion happens after death? Do you believe in reincarnation or that even after we die, our soul lives. Is there a higher power that really controls the universe?

I don’t want to know what your religion taught you, I want to know what you as an individual think?

Really, it's just a sneaky way to get religion into school. Why don't they teach that intelligent design is more likely to have been made by a team of superior beings instead of just one? Obviously it is just a way to throw Christianity into school.

Your thoughts on intelligent design please?

I want to applaud you for being rude & ad-hominus to Christians. Seriously. You are at least living out your beliefs...and it is refreshing to see consistency.

I just saw this answer to one of my questions:

"when i witness to someone i do so out of true belief and concern that if i dont, you are in danger of hell.
Also did you know that in the end when i stand before God that i will be held accountable?that if i had the oppurtunity to witness to you and i did,nt .and you ended up in hell because you never heard the good news then your blood is on my head?"

Please rest assured, my soul is not in need of your idiotic religious dogma! Please keep your religion to yourselves!

Deu 21:23 For a hanged man is accursed by God.

Gal 3:13 For it is written, "Cursed is everyone who is hanged on a tree

but:

1Co 12:3 Therefore I want you to understand that no one speaking in the Spirit of God ever says "Jesus is accursed!"

When we look back at the chain of events that led to our existence - evolution, the formation of the solar system, and all the way back to the Big Bang - we naturally feel that there cannot have been an infinite regression of causes, and that at some point there must have been something that caused all this, but was itself uncaused.

Supposing that this is true, why do we anthropomorphise this first cause, assign it human characteristics, and assume that it is deeply concerned with the minutiae of human lives? Isn't it more reasonable to assume a natural event just like all the other natural events which led to the existence of the observable universe?

The word religion comes from the greek religos which means "to come from"..

Where did humans come from? The Earth? Or Devine creationalism? Which is more likely?

Should people who believe in evolution actually be worshiping the Earth?

The Native American tribes of North America all had a certain reverence for the Earth. It gave them life, food, clothes,.. Just as it does us.. But we have confused this with organized religion that is usually forced on children, the poor, etc..

Shouldn't we all care a little more about the Earth? Isn't it where we came from? Where we will return to? Where we get our food, clothes, shelter? Don't we depend on it for everything? Isn't it hubric to disease it the way we have?

A Yahoo user has been emailing me, telling me things such as:
"In fact the evidence of man coexisting with dinosaurs is so overwhelming that I continue to be surprised that it is so widely rejected."

Without resorting to too much polemic, I would like to know just why there are people around today who literally believe in the Flintstones? Are they simply ignorant? Are they brainwashed much like cult members? Do they have a strong need to belong, regardless of what that necessitates? Are they not able to use logic and rationality, not to mention common sense? Do the millions of volumes of scientific works escape their academic grasp? Is everything relative? Is science merely about opinion? Can you simply will your way out of the laws of Nature, much like Wile E. Coyote?

religion is unable to stop a fanatic/terrorist/racist/...to do sin, what we all are facing in todays world is religious based sin. Should we abandon religion? Be it christians, muslims, hindoos, budhists....every corner of world they are present as destructive force. Bible /koran/etc. are meaningless for them because it never promises the practical solution . pls dont say God will show them right path, this philosophical/spritual/emotional preaches never gave a practical answer. do you think religion and their holly books are wastage of humans energy? Be rational, and dont be christian/muslim...to solve this ever-lasting problem related with religious mind? Cant we ask people to become more human being and less religious?

OK, now I've got your attention, here is my wager for theists. Go take your holy book and start at page one, read it from cover to cover and at the end of each chapter or verse, ask yourself the following questions.

1. If I were in god's place, how would I have acted differently?
2. Would a loving god do this?
3. Do these descriptions of earth agree with what we now know about the universe?
4. Are these the writings of an educated person or persons by any modern standard?
5. Is there a plausible motive for a group of mortals to write these stories to gain power over others?

If all theists diligently went through this exercise, who would agree there would be less killing over religion in the world?
