Applaud to Christians?

Question

im not an atheist, but i, as an agnostic, get extremely rude and irrational behavior from christians all the time...

the difference between christians and atheists, is christians are supposed to be living by a book. their rules for life are written down. atheists arent. they arent held to those rules in your book.

so whos the hypocrite?

As neither a christian nor atheist, I'll agree to an extent.
I've seen bashing from both sides, but christians (in general and on this site) historically start the flame wars. I wonder if this is really the christ in them that they want us all to see.

Not all Christians are rude, but I know that there are some rude Christians, but I know a lot of nice Christians. I also know some nice Atheists, but I also know some rude Atheists. It's not really an aspect of religion, as much as it is an aspect of personality and human behavior.

I think you're overgeneralizing. There are many Christians (such as me, for example) who think the constant bickering and lame, futile attempts to convert atheists and agnostics by posting some rant on Yahoo! Answers in completely unacceptable.

Please don't make the mistake of thinking that all Christians are @$$ holes just because a few of them are...and there seems to be an unusually high concentration of that minority using Y! Answers. Some of us (like me) will treat all non-Christians with the unconditional respect that we believe our God treats us with.

I am a Christian & I often find answers from people who claim to be Christtian objectionable, offensive & unnecessary. I'm not a goody two-shoes but I try to give honest opinions in a polite manner. Most of the time ;). Apologies for the rudeness of those who give us a bad name--perhaps one day we'll all grow up. Peace.

All of us, Christian and non-Christian have a soul which longs for God. Denying the soul will not make it go away.
The Ten Commandments are laws based upon the natural law which all of humankind, by their conscience, is bound to obey. All of us are hypocrites when we do not rise to a higher standard than the animals. Rude behavior is not acceptable from anyone.

okay, I read the other question and answered it, and here is my answer to you which is the same:
No matter what group you look at, whether it be athiest, christian, buddhist or a knitting circle, you will find people who are stupid, nice,sweet, rude, ignorant, lame, and all other things you can think of....
What I see is that we are all on here hashing it out, and it can get a bit dirty, but then that one post comes in, and its clear that its someone in trouble, who really needs help, and everybody recognizes it, and all athiests, christians, everybody is respectful, helpful, kind, and understanding;
this is what I see that is consistant and refreshing. I give props to everyone for that.

As neither an atheist nor a Christian, and as an Ex-Atheist, you'd expect I'd find the atheists more rude ( Ex-anythings tend to be that way) but I find the subset of Christianity that shouts here to be far worse.

Well, if I were an Atheist, I would call christians hypocrits, too. If I didn't really have any "rules" to live by, then everything is hunky dorey in atheistland. Sheesh.
