Ok... Basically, we have quite a bit of scientific evidence that says the universe is 14 or so billion years old and that the earth is 4.6 billion years old. You know... Things like dinosaur fossils that are over 65 million years old. How can the world be only a couple of thousand years old in that case?!

And if you are a creationist, do you believe and follow everything else the bible says... Have you READ the book of leviticus lately?!

I mean, do you sacrifice pidgeons, doves and lambs when you sin?! or offer up your grain? If you are a woman, do you stay away from men folk for seven days before and after menstruating (apparently while menstruating you are "unclean" according to the bible)???
Do you eat pork and shell fish? Again, a BIG bible no no!!!

It just seems to me that if you believe in the book of genesis to the letter that it would be a bit hypocritical of you not to follow the rest of the bible so closely?!

I went to a Catholic School when I was younger, and some of the nonsense I've heard come out in the "religion" class made me wonder how some of these people haven't "accidentally" drank draino thinking it was cool-aid.

Do any of these christians actually stop to reread what they write to defend their religion? A talking snake? A woman made from a rib (of all parts of a persons body...)? A jew nailed to a piece of wood, than forgiving everyone?

If I started making up nonsense like jesus and getting a little band of believers together, I'd be called a cult leader. How is christianity any different?

Since the 1993 Oslo peace accord, Palestinians have killed more israelis through terrorism and suicide bombings than in the 15 years previous to it. The Palestinian Authority did not follow through on ANY of their committments whatsoever, not even the simplest one, which was changing the Palestinian Charter. Israel followed through on all of theirs, even as far as arming the new Palestinian Police Force - these weapons were since used against israeli civilians. How on earth did anyone, let alone Yitzak Rabin and President Clinton, believe the words of Yasser Arafat? Even the Palestinian communication advisor admitted that ''the Oslo accord was just a Trojan Horse to get inside Isreal in order to carry out further armed conflict''

So was it just wishful thinking by the rest of the world? I'm convinced these people have no wish for peace, their sole purpose in life is to committ terrorism and kill. What do you think?

Okay, this is something that I have always wondered about. Where in the Bible and all of Gods creations did the dinasours come in? I mean, were they around in Adam and Eve's day? What about the cave men? Were Adam and Eve cavemen? I know that they existed or we wouldn't have all the fosils of them. Does anyone know?

Atheists, would you honestly be more content if everyone chose to leave their religion behind? Believers, what would be your purpose if everyone converted to your religion?
Believers would have nothing to fight for and atheists would have nothing to fight against.

By the way, I'm not really talking about religiously influenced wars. People are greedy and will always find something to go to war over.

This site has made me really worried! Especially about the state of affairs in America! It seems to me that religion is simply seeding hatred and ignorance and xenophobia.

I'm a Catholic, yet I have no problem being open minded and entertaining all different beliefs.
Just because they are different does not mean that they are wrong!

In fact, the Christian God is the same God as the Old Testement Jewish God, and Allah, the Islamic God, is the same God again...

Why do people concentrate on the differences instead of embracing the similarities of the docterines of different religions?!


The main teaching of nearly every religion is treat others as you would like them to treat you.

That is the important thing, no matter what religion you are, athiest or whatever.

that she had working for her, the amount of money that she was to pay me, told me to lie to customers on the phone, had no common sense and sided with some other lady just because against me. I ended up pulling in the most work for her out of everyone yet she kept getting in my face when other ppl hadn't even gotten a single thing. I ended up walking out of a "meeting" because her and an older lady were ganging up on me and it was after my shift. The boss called me up to let me go and I said, "that's okay :) " and then I finally said, "I didn't like working there because u lied to me about the job and the amount of money that you were supposed to pay me. She did some double talk and her voice went up in pitch like it does when customers catch her in a lie. She didn't apologize, but instead told me to stop complaining about the fact that I still made good money even though she told me she was gonna pay more. I ended up pressing the buttons on my phone in her ear and hung up.

I always had curiousity about what happens in the grave. Please see if you could give an answer from the Islamic point. YOu can give quotes from the Koran. Whoever knows this thing well should answer. This is a serious topic. People who dont know anything or dont have anything to do with this questuon should not butt in. Please show respect. I am a bit concerened as of about 2 months ago I started purchaseing wwii items for my sons bedroom because I decorate for a living and decided to make his room a wwii room with trunks, combat helmets, canteens, naval hats, clothing etc...about 4 weeks ago we heard thumping in his room walls and then on the outside door like a frantic banging or someone knocking...I said if anything not of good in the home, it needed to leave it was not welcome and all stopped. Now, last night I was sleeping and at about 6:00 in the morn, heavy thumping or banging over my headboard in the wall went off and continued for 1/2 hour. It is a constant thump, thump, thump like someone hammering outside but never stops . It is not too loud and always sounds like on the other side of the wall, not directly in the room...what could it be?

O.k i really need help because my mom is felling really bad because her car is brocken and i feel real bad because i just came back from sixth grade camp yesterday and my whole family had something happening while i was gone (by the way my family is me my mom and my uncle) my uncle had a stroke, and my moms car broke down.
