I noticed some of my catholic friends when they pray this prayer,

"Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come,
your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one."

they seem to speak it so fast I just had to ask them if they even knew what they were praying for and they actually had to stop and think about it and couldn't give me an answer. Are many catholics out there like that also, pray because they have to and not know what they are praying for?

I think the title explains it, but what if he/she did, and he lived here and was some homeless dude. Would you believe him/her? I know i'm quoting a song but, would you believe him/her? This is of course if he/she does exist.

"Thou shall not murder"

That's what you say for abortion, why can't you say the same for all the American soldiers and the Iraqi civillians?

The bible says that eye has not seen nor ear heard nor has it entered into the hearts of man what God has prepared for those who love him.

Whats your best anticipation of Heaven, lets make God work real hard to beat our best ideas....

Then don't have one! Do you actually think banning abortion will stop it from happening? Not by a long shot. Women will be dying in alleys and in their bathtubs from using unsafe and non-sterile "back alley abortions". But I guess that's alright. Guess they deserved what they had coming, right? I mean, if they're stupid enough to go through a procedure like that knowing full well they could die from it, then they deserve to die anyway. Hey, and while we're at it, we should remove warning labels all together, since any idiot can figure out that blow-drying your hair in the bathtub is hazardous.

I may be wrong, but I feel Church Christians on this chat group give very little importance to Jesus' warning that they can't get to Heaven until they are born again into a spirit (personality) of forgiving others.

Since I've noticed how often questions get re-asked again and again here, I was considering making an offsite FAQ to summarize the answers to the most common questions here. In cases where there's disagreements, we could summarize both views on the issue, or link to pages advocating each view.

If you all could list as many of the really common questions here as possible, that'd help provide a good start.

I admit it's a very odd question, some of you may think I'm off my rocker, but seriously, I would like it if you would think this through, it's a very interesting question.
