What do you do when you can't just say "It's ok," because frankly, it's not ok? What exactly does forgiveness mean, and how does one achieve it? I have been trying for years to forgive, but I have been hurt repeatedly, and can't seem to find peace. I have been talking to one of my friends and praying, and both my friend and God are helping me, but I still can't seem to let go...

Isn't focusing on a symbol helpfull to directing prayer? Shouldn't all those who despise any kind of Idolatry worship in plain, unadorned buildings, like cattle sheds? Aren't hymn books a form of Idolatry, stained glass windows, even million dollar mega churches are a symbol of gaudy wealth, right? Who are you worshipping?

equal to the love you give.
Do you agree? I've seen many hateful things here tonight, and I'm wondering if you feel that this is true. (I think this is a line from a Beatles song; I may have gotten that wrong, but the message is still the same)

that we are actually some form of alien (actually, that > I < am an alien) that has obnoxiously long dreams, and that every sensation you ( I ) experience is an illusion? no matter how unlikely it would seem, is it possible?

i say "I" because if it were true, then every thing that i am currently experienceing on this world, including you, would be an illusion. my own conciousness is the only one i know 100% exists.

I would much rather have a purpose than to waste my time enjoying my insignificant, temporary self. You may say: "Helping people is a purpose." It might be. But what happens when you save someone's life only to see that person get hit by a 16-wheeler? What happens when a million people willingly dedicate and even sacrifice their lives for the welfare of the world's children, the future, only for it all to go up in flames when the world ends suddenly?

Whatever we do must be done for eternity. If not, eventually it will be like it never happened at all. I do not want to "enjoy myself", like most atheists do, I want to do something that will echo for all eternity. Is anything eternal? Can such a thing be done?

If not, I have no reason to go on living and I will end it as soon as the answer is confirmed.

It's probably more of the Christian's theories without proof. The Theory of Jesus really falls apart when challenged for hard evidence.

By the way...did Jesus ever attend a synagogue except to throw money changers around or teach in Caperneum.
