sounds like a long time for suffering for your own sins, how bad do you think it will be?

Have you ever been spelunking? Exploring caves?
Do you know what total isolation is?
Do you enjoy talking?

One possible description of hell:

One will be totally isolated from everything one ever knew.
One will be unable to call out for mercy or anything else.
One will be surrounded in total darkness.
The last thing One will remember ...
is who One was dis-obedient to. <--- The Why!
One then can only weep and mourn.
One then can only grind One's teeth.

One will have burned into One's consciousness the forsaking of the True Creator and Saviour, therefore the worm will never die, always gnawing at the One's conscious for eternity with the burning desire to be forgiven.

I had a dream once, that I went to hell, and I said,"I've had worse!"

I've talked to two people that went there, in Near Death Experiences.

One which had led a life of crime, is an older man that said that he had the skin of his chest torn off, and as soon as that happened, it grew back, and then it got torn off again. This repeated, over and over again until he was resuscitated in the hospital.
It changed his life. 180.

The other one was a girl that had been a 'stuck up,' prom queen in school, and had an automobile accident. She had been in a coma for 6 mo. Her mom, thinking that she would not make it, gave away all of her cloths. Some time after that, as she stayed as a handicap, a few more years, I was her aide in HS. She could not walk or feed herself, or talk, but could sign with one shaky hand. She told me that she saw Jesus. I told her that she must have gone to heaven then. She said "No, To Hell." I asked her how that could be. She said that He was at the gates of 'hell' holding out His hands to her with tears in His eyes.
Then, at times she would freak out, flailing arms and legs and the teacher said that she gets flashbacks and see demons. Needless to say, she signed about God and 'Jesus' all the time, to anyone that would 'listen.' She prayed in sign, she typed about Them in her slow agonizing way on the computer, and on her new talking machine. The nurse used to hate it, and got the principle to stop her from signing about 'Jesus.' I say, if you don't like it, turn your head!
3 people quit at the end of the year because of that stupidity. I was one.

To answer the other question, I don't think anyone stays forever.
One minute might seem like an eternity though. Punishment is to teach a 'child' a lesson, as long as s/he needs it. Sometimes they think they deserve it, and stay longer "for the hell of it."
But then again, what do I know?

Well since Jesus died for my sins and Jesus took my punishment for me and I believe that He is the Son of God and His blood cleanses me from all sins, and I accepted his payment for my sins, Jesus owns my soul now, not me. Even though I deserve to spend eternity in hell, I expect I'll never find out because I'll be with my Saviour and Lord.

I also believe Milton was right when he wrote Paradise Lost. Satan and his Angels preferred Hell rather than serve God in Heaven. I believe Milton uses Paradise Lost to show how much some people hate God by using Satan's actions as an example of what extremes some people will go to in order to avoid God.

Also in Paradise Lost, Satan says, "The mind is it's own place and can make a heaven of hell and hell out of heaven." Since everything Satan says is a lie, I think Milton was pointing out that people who end up in Hell will go to any length to delude themselves that Hell is not going to be as bad as all that, so they have no need of God, they have made themselves their own god.

We will only live for eternity if we go to heaven. Besides it is only a bad misinterpretation of a few scriptures. Think about it. Why would God have to come back to get us if we die and go to hell or heaven right away. Also God is to loving for that. Please look up a Seventh day Adventist Church and ask them these ?'s Also why think about it remember all we have to do is repent and God will forgive. Then all you need to do is except and ask God to help you change your life to walk as he would have you walk. I am praying for you! Read the story of David in the bible He repented and after lusting, committing adultery and killing and because of his true repentance God said he was a man after his own heart. Dont let Satan continue to have control of your life

If you are a true Buddhist, pain will not matter. You will have mastered the body. So it would be the same as eternal pleasure: just a distraction. So I guess eventually all would get used to the pain. Pain is just a signal to our nervous system...it can be ignored.

Dang Monica Lewinsky is back.

Jesus described it in His own words as the place where 'the flames are never quenched, and the worm dieth not.' If you look up worm in the concordance, it means the soul of a man. Sound bad enough?

NOBODY knows the answer to this question. Nobody even knows what will happen or if this "hell" is anything like what we hear it to be. Don't worry about it. Just live your life properly and always try to do the right thing and don't hurt people...then YOU won't have to worry about this thing called "hell".

Imagine end-to-end episodes of "Everybody Loves Raymond" starring Ray Romano. But the season never ends, and the laughtrack never lets up, and you can't even kill yourself to relieve the agony.

Would a loving God really do that to His children???

Do you think that since the Bible was written (compiled) in 325AD (1700 years ago) God and Jesus have since then not done away with Satan's Hell?

Hell is really only when the worms eat your body after your dead. Other than that it doesn't exist.
