I mean, that is the basis for their belief. It seems much more fitting.

You're right, then us non-believers would have to move to it too so we can bash you.

As a Christian who constantly argues for the right of Atheists to be in this forum, your question completely floors me. The whole purpose of looking at the views from both sides is to make an informed decision ... and isn't that what Atheists are constantly endorsing? Making INFORMED decisions? Without having two opposing forces, we aren't able to make a choice ...

By the way, I know that many Atheists view this section as their own personal little playground. The funny thing is, I don't often see Atheists discussing anything intelligent between each other. The majority of questions are taking stabs at the beliefs of others. If you didn't have anyone to make fun of, what would you even talk about? Anyway, we've got just as much right to be here as you, and we're never going away. :) So learn to love us.

Athiests have a lack of belief. Christianity could easily be in Mythology and Folklore just as easily as topics about Greek and Roman Gods could be in Religion and Spirituality. Its all in how you look at it.

They don't find that what they believe in is Mythology and/or Folkore, but to everyone it does fit the description of Religion & Spirituality.

kmsbean, we're here, because this is the place to discuss matters related to faith, religion, spirituality, etc. including the lack of. If you were an atheist, where would you go on Y! A to discuss it? Besides, atheists that are here usually ask and answer questions about religion anyway, rather than atheism.

Mythology is a term that refers to the tenets of other people's religion, but never to one's own. How great it must feel for so many people to believe that of all of the false religions out there, they were born into the one and only true one. They know that it is true because their god tells them so. Oh sure, the believers of false religions believe that their religion is true because their god tells them so too, but they are wrong, aren't they? How great to be one of the few who are correct. Flying spagetti monsters all the way.

I'm assuming you mean atheist? If so, then actually atheists don't believe in anything so mythology and folklore would be a bad place for them. They are probably trying to understand religion because they don't have one.
