Because they're ding dongs.
No, seriously. Most Christians believe abortion is murder but aren't satisfied with the hundreds of thousands of Iraqis this administration has murdered already and want to kill a few more. Terminating a cell is murder but taking soldier's lives and countless civilian lives isn't. Mmm hmm. Not, to them, when it's done in the weak and vile name of "fighting terrorism". I didn't know the hundreds of thousands of Iraqis killed weren't actually people. Maybe they too were giant lizards like me. It seems, according to our government and everyone who follows it blindly, that they needed to be eliminated to "serve a greater purpose".
Isn't this what Hitler said about Jews? And weren't his minions Christian?
OH NO! *Bullofbama* said it! He said it, "...blowing up the World Trade Centers!"
Good God, Bull. The Iraqis, in case you haven't been paying attention the last five years, DID NOT ATTACK THE WORLD TRADE CENTER. And it's ONE center, not "centers". Two of the towers were blown up. If you still don't know who did it I imagine you certainly aren't going to educate yourself. A war on terror cannot be centralized to one country - get real!

The things that you mention, namely claiming to be "pro-family", believing in the Drug War and supporting the War on Terror, do not make a person Christian. I am not saying that a Christian would not do these things, but they are not fundamental requirements of the Christian faith. Therefore, a blanket statement that Christians claim to be pro-family yet do the most to destroy families for the sake of these "wars" could prove to be inaccurate since claiming to be "pro-family" and supporting the drug war and the war on terror may not be characteristic of Christians at all ("claiming to be 'pro-family'" could have various interpretations).
Christians may decry and participate in activities that are directed against drug abuse and terrorism because these are dangerous, but this does not necessarily mean that all Christians contribute to the Drug War or the War on Terror in ways that are destructive to families. Besides, contrary to what some elements of the mass media would have us believe, not all Christians support the War on Terror as it is being undertaken formally.
More fundamental to the Christian faith is the belief that Jesus was God's Son who was crucified for man's sin and rose again so that we could be forgiven (see John 3:16). Also crucial is an acknowledgement of our obligation to love God wholeheartedly in thought, word and deed and to love our neighbours as we love ourselves (see Mark 12:28-31). Anything that is contrary to these principles is unchristian, regardless of who advocates it or the label that such a person may wear.

Christians are not trying to destroy families. That's just silly.
I don't see how you could say that the war on drugs is actually a war on families.
And sometimes war is necessary to ensure the protection of those in danger.Sound strange? Perhaps. But many, many more would have been killed if we had just left Saddam in power,or many other brutal dictators where war was the only solution.

So people doing drugs, selling drugs, steeling from others to support a drug habit; blowing up the world trade centers, killing servicemen while they sleep in barracks, bombing US embassy's to support a Islamic Fundamentalist cause is good for the family?!? The only "rabble" is in the mind of an {hypothetical}idiot that would actually ask such a question!

Since when is a move to stop terrorism and drugs anti-family? You are not logical. This is not an intelligent question. It is just a poor attempt to slander Christians.

Only false Christians do this. True Christians believe in living in peace and security under God's rule. This is how the bible tells us to live. Romans 12:17, 18 tells us not to return evil for evil, that if our enemy is hungry to feed him, not blow him away with an M-60.
