I may be wrong, but I feel Church Christians on this chat group give very little importance to Jesus' warning that they can't get to Heaven until they are born again into a spirit (personality) of forgiving others.

Jesus didn't say judging people would keep you out of Heaven. But he did say ,
"If you do not forgive others, your father in Heaven will not forgive you." -
This is the clearest verse in the Bible.

Sorry you feel that way.
I sometimes get a little ruffled with questions and answers when it is clear they have no knowledge.
I also can tell when people are light hearted.
The life of Jesus is commendable BECAUSE He went out and talked to the sinners.
I have no beef with anyone and if I did I generally let it slide. No use for it in my life.
I have many Atheist friends and I love them all.
Forgiving others takes work. 24/7.
It is important.

People, in general, are not required to get rid of their judgments.
I'm not saying the following is correct or incorrect. It's in the bible:
When the son ""that was lost and is now found"" Went home after squandering all his inheritance. The Father gave a party for his son. The other son could not understand what or why a feast would be given. It is left for you to assume that he was at the feast but was he? The scriptures don't answer that question. I bring this out only to show than differing Christians may look at somethings differently. All you can do is do what you think is right according to the scriptures. Be careful not to hold a grudge against people who hold a grudge. That is not forgiveness!
continue your quest.

If the promise of heaven is the prime motivating factor to honorable behavior then we are a pitiful lot .
Maybe the misuse of the legal system for revenge and punishment rather than just serving justice is the false lead that needs to be corrected as well. This will come about someday !
Hate is never justified .

Having a dislike for someone because of a posting they made on the internet is infantile. For the most part, people are here to play the game of you vs. me etc. I may not like what you have posted but then, you probably don't care for my postings either. You make your choice and I make mine and it is highly unlikely that either of us are going to be changed by what another "internet" junky says. However, I will continue to support Christianity in the small but fervent hope that maybe, .....just maybe I might be able to at least get even one person to think with their heart as well as their intellect.

I haven't noticed that, but one thing to remember is that just because someone names the name of Jesus it doesn't mean they are truly a born again believer.

People often think that everyone focuses on them, in reality you'd be surprised how often they don't think of you at all. Kinda nice and humbling isn't it. Those people take themselves too seriously.
