"Ism" is the problem. As soon as it becomes a movement that people can adhere to with no examination of their beliefs or the results it becomes a danger.

Believing in God is not deplorable. does this mean you would attack someone who believed in God? something deplorable would make me sneer. If a believer was dragged into your town square would you throw insults and stones at him even though he did nothing personally to you? Just because he believed in God....That attitude is deplorable. You say this to make yourself bigger somehow, in the eyes of strangers here on Y!A R&S. people that you never meet in real life. Is this worth it? So how do you feel about yourself?

You know, there was a man who was a good man. For a living, he fixed furnaces, air conditioning systems, stuff like that...but there was another man who came upon some of this man's work and to the customer started saying what a poor job this man had done. now this second man did not hate the first man, but he needed a job, for he too, made a living fixing heating and cooling systems. he did not know that the system the first man had been working on was unrelated to the system that he had fixed. however, when he bad-mouthed the first man, the one who was listening (the customer) was a neighbor of the first man, and knew that he would never do the things that the second man was saying. so this second man is already a lesser man in the eyes of the community because he bad-mouthed someone he did not know.

what goes around, comes around, hon.

That would depend on your interpretation of theism. If you mean organized religion, then I would say that theism is the more dangerous (although not necessarily deplorable) If however you mean people either believing or not believing in God, then I am all for God. Religion in and of itself is not a bad thing but the things done in the name of a certain religion can be devastating to society and to individuals.

theism
then again, men have made the mistake of taking socialism as religious theism. When woman tries it, Socialism's best parts will mingle with Capitalism's best parts. Thats why the Dem's have so many smart powerful women and minorities in running for pres.

Hmm. Both have their merits when used in moderation, but Theism has gone overboard more often, so
