I cant remember the last time I prayed. Must've been years ago when I was still a Catholic. I am Agnostic now. But sometimes, when shiza starts hitting the fan, i have a slight urge to make the sign of the cross or something. Force of habit probably.

Around noon today. I pray every night before bed and sometimes that it is..and I know that that isn't enough. I really should pray more but sometimes I just don't think of it. But there are some days where I will pray 10+ times a day.

Earlier this afternoon. God commands us to "pray without ceasing", witch means we should be communicating with God through out our day. You don't necessarily have to open your mouth and speak all day long; but you can effectively communicate with God by your thoughts towards him. Literally speak to him with your mind, and listen for his response. Remember, prayer is a dialog. It's not just you speaking to God, it's also God speaking to you. When God speaks to you, it is not an audible voice that you will hear... but more like a thought placed in your mind (or soul). This thought is most often related to your petition to him. If you haven't prayed in almost a year, it may be difficult for you to discern his voice from your own thoughts. When God speaks, it's like a sweet whisper. He will will never over power the clutter that is in your mind, rather, it is up to you to "take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ", so that you will be able to receive from him. Whatever the case, God makes it clear in his word that whenever one of his beloved children return to him, that all of heaven rejoices. I'm sure that he is happy that you have even inquired about him here in this forum. May I ask, why haven't you prayed in so long?

I'm thinking about one year ago, springtime of last year. Before I quit praying and started thinking.

August 2005, possibly September.
I did stand quietly and stare at the furniture during a group invocation last week.

I pray daily, whether it be consciously or unconsciously. I pray for my family and our health. I thank God for all that we have -- love, health. I pray for the world around us -- for peace. I pray for all --- I believe God does listen.
