This is a question many religious people think about. And the truth is, you really don't know. It is impossible for human beings to know for certain that their religion is the correct one. We are not capable of seeing godly things or such. What i have learned though, is to accept all religion. I personally am Christian, and i believe in one God. But here is what i think. Everyone praises gods, a God, or no gods. I cannot speak for the people that don't believe in anything, but for those who believe, you might be able to say, we all believe in the same God, we just have different interpretations of this God or gods. So as a Christian, i believe in God, but i won't say that Hindu, Islam, Jewish, or other religions out there are wrong. They all believe in a higher power, but we all just look at it differently. So, maybe we all believe in the same true religion, but just view of it differently.

Also, did you know that Christians, Muslims, and Jews all believe in the same One God? Because they do, so already 3 of the major religions believe in the same God, just have different rules and beliefs of what God wants of us.

And for all the Christian believer, (although i am one myself) you cannot totally prove Christianity is right. Yes there are many historical facts and all such as Jesus did live, according to Roman scriptures. But it never mentions him being holy or godly.
Another thing is, we cannot tell for sure if everything in the bible is true (at least for the new testament) because it was written at least a hundred years after Jesus died. Of course it is best to take the bible figuratively in many situations.

Even now, the Catholic church is changing, saying that they will not say other religions are wrong, regardless of what each individual's opinion is.
I believe that as long as we all live life to the fullest, are acceptable of other religions, and do good in the world, we will go to heaven, regardless of what religion we believe in.

No one is completely sure, some follow a religion blindly without questioning it. Others although they believe something do question their religion and as they come up with answers their faith is either proven stronger or weaker depending on the answers. Of course there are some answers about religion that cannot be answered. like the one you have brought up. No one knows if their religion is right or not, even atheists cannot say if they are right or not because they can't prove that religions are wrong, a person must believe that they are on the right path, however in my opinion it is very dangerous for a person to follow without questioning it.

You can't be sure. That is a rational question and most religions rely on faith or belief which by there very nature are irrational. If you feel comfortable in your religion and it meets your needs then it is probably the best for you. the trouble with trying to be the only true religions is that it makes one proud and this causes people to belittle people of other faiths.

If you find a religion whose "book" can be proven to be a book by God to man, and not just a book by men about God, you had better accept that religion. How would you know, though, that the book was from God? If it contained fulfilled prophecies and was never wrong in its prophecies, if the book was historically accurate, if the book had a unity throughout, with no contradictions, if the book answered life's big questions in a way that was satisfying and consistent with the way life is, and if the book had the power to transform lives, then I would call that book a book from God to man.

There is such a book. It's called the Bible.

You don't need religion to read and follow the Bible. I am sure that everyone thinks they have the only religion that is true. Catholics and Baptists seem to think they are going to heaven just becasue of the religion they are (some do) Mormons think that their church is the only true church because that is what Joseph Smith says was revealed to him... It clearly states that you have to accept Jesus as Lord and Savior to get into Heaven.... not belong to a certain religion.........

There's no way to be sure whatever religion you pick is "right". That's why there's been a debate for thousands of years. They could ALL be wrong. You just need to pick one that fits you best and the one that you think makes the most sense to you. You actually don't have to pick one at all. Just try to live your life right and treat others with respect.

If you mean religion in the sense of one particular denomination of Christianity, I can't say that it is the one and only true religion. If you simply mean a belief in God and Jesus, then I can only say this. When I was called by God and made the choice to follow Him, I was changed dramatically inside. I don't mean that I simply make the choice to be good etc. I am talking about my spirit coming alive. Now, it is not a matter of faith...it is a matter of knowing that God and Jesus are real.

I find if one limits their self to one religion, the truth is missed. Its like a pie, each religion is slice that makes the complete truth.

I think the complete truth is an open mind, and perhaps beleiving
in many religions and spiritual thoughts.

There is truth and wisdom in everything.

You can't. I go to a Methodist church, and they say that to get to heaven all you have to do is believe in Jesus Christ. I do believe in him, but I think you also have to accept Him as you Savior, and spread the Word. I don't think every religion is perfectly true, but I think that God won't mind if you're just a little off.

Through research. I have studied many different religions and I looked at many reference materials about the religions. The only ones I found completely credible is the Jewish and more directly the Christian faith.
