So God created Adam and Eve.

God gave them a choice, eternal life, or knowledge of good and evil. They "chose" good and evil. God was mad.

Adam and Eve had two sons, one killed the other. God was mad.

A few years pass, humanity has spread, they live a Godless life, except for Noah, God is mad. Floods the Earth.

God chooses Abraham to start a great nation. Whole lot of God tells Isrealites something, they do it for like 5 minutes. God is mad.

After all of this God being mad at us (that's just the tip of the iceberg) he stops. He sends Jesus to be a perfect exapmle of a human being, and basically tells us to figure it out.

So does He trust us to figure it out? He's stopped Biblesque examples of His power, so that leads most to believe He has backed up and given us the wheel.

So really does God trust us with this world?

And is Revelations his backup plan incase we screw it up too bad?

But He'd already know if we were going to screw it up.

Uh-oh.

Interpretation of religious texts is important, especially nowadays, because it is the only way against fundamentalism and the only way to a true spiritual life. Do you agree?

Being a rationalist, i have often wondered how the world would be without religions. For me, religions are nothing else than governing rules for the society. If there is no religion, will our know laws suffice to maintainlaw and order. Many of the world's conflicts, from World War 1 to the War On Terror are caused by religion or the understanding of it. What do you think?

Is it me, or do Christians and other faiths talk about God, like he is a man. A person a head of the universe, spirit world, who knows what else. Who sits on a throne and judges people? Is that what religion thinks??????
People talk about God like a person, with children, like a human.. I don't think we have any idea, concept of what God is.

I really think we have a false concept of God. I think God is every where. A powerful devine force in the endless universe and time. In the endless, timless realms of Spirit.. A power, a light. A force, life.
People talk about God, like he is a person, Does religion under estimate what God is? .
What do you think?

He went against the grain, is independent, doesn't do what others tell him to do, rebelled against an iron-fisted authority, made his own path and was willing to sacrifice a comfortable life in heaven for his beliefs......

Now, I got a lot of Biblical descriptions, and some nice comments from friends, but what I want to know is this: What do you picture in your mind when you think of God? What does God look like, represent, smell like, sound like. I want a real, physical picture of what people think. Thanks! =0)

If someone is a born again Christian, and works to keep occult and pagan items after their home. If someone else brings an occult related movie or object into their home, is it possible that Christian would feel an uneasiness around them because of that item, even if it's from something like astrology, or just a movie on witchcraft, magick, etc? Thanks

Wouldn't there need to be another New Testament if the rules had changed? I have heard arguments that the way that the gifts worked in the early church do not apply anymore, but isn't that throwing out scripture? If the church claims that the scriptures are the source of their doctrine, how can modern churches deny, amongst others, that tongues are no longer necessary?

Some witnesses saw some of my Anime that I had and talked to my mom about...they were worried it had "magic" and it was "spiritistic". My mom made me get rid of FullMoon wo Sagashite because it has Shinigami in it "Death God/Grim Reaper" but she lets me watch and likes the Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy which is all about the kids hanging with the Grim Reaper.O.o, She says that show is just ment to be funny. She made get rid of Spirited Away because it has to do with spirits, and she made me get rid of a few other Anime...which I didin't find really demonic or spiritistic, if they thought those Anime's were bad...then they should see X/199 or Hellsing.

To any Jeohovahs Wtnesses who know about those Animes, are they really that bad? I have been to other witnesses house and they have movies/shows they own that have a lot of sexual themes in it, I know witnesses that watch really violent stuff, so I feel like when they make comments about what I watch, they are being hypocrites.
