If someone is a born again Christian, and works to keep occult and pagan items after their home. If someone else brings an occult related movie or object into their home, is it possible that Christian would feel an uneasiness around them because of that item, even if it's from something like astrology, or just a movie on witchcraft, magick, etc? Thanks

The first sentence should have read: If someone is a born again Christian, and works to keep occult and pagan items OUT of their home. Sorry about the typo.

This would be a Christian who didn't see the item or know it was there. But after feeling an uneasiness and searching their home, they discovered a relative had brought this item in.

Brookstone, Christians have different levels of discernment, and everyone who proclaims to be "born again" is not. Only God and the individual knows for sure. This question was posted for CHRISTIANS who ARE born again, and have a relationship with God.

Absolutely, remember that the Holy Spirit dwells in you now and He is aware of things you are not. I would not allow anything of the occult into my home, at least not knowingly. I remember when I moved into my new residence. It is an older home and many people had lived here over the years. I had that feeling several times in my spirit, I checked throughout the house looking for I don't know what. When my son was visiting one day I asked him to check the attic, up there he found many demonic pictures that were hand drawn. I got rid of them in my fireplace and have never felt that uneasiness again.

My father-in-law is a born again Pentecostal. My husband and I are both Wiccan. My father-in-law doesn't know that yet. My father-in-law has stated on more than one occasion how comfortable he is in our house and how our house just seems so "welcoming". I have my Book of Shadows in my bedroom which is right off of the living room. Actually my BOS is on the opposite side of the wall the couch sits on... this is his favorite place in the house to sit. I have a goddess plaque on the wall going into the kitchen. He actually loves this piece of "artwork". I bless all the food I make. He has yet to turn down any food at my house. So, in answer to your question... I don't think a born again Christian can feel uneasiness around a pagan item.... even if the pagan item happens to be a family member.

What a saved Christian feels isn't the presence of occultor pagan items but fear...pure and simple. Christians are afraid of anything not Christian and what you feel is fear...not any supernatural presence because the wiccans, witchcraft, magic are all as superstitious and non existant as your own religion.

It doesn't scare you if you don't believe it...we just look at the faith people put in certain items and roll our eyes. I am only afraid of the hatefulness of people that stems from their fears.

Yes, it is. In Christianity, things related to the occult are considered the tools of the devil. So, yes, they have every right to feel uncomfortable, because those things may help to invite that presence.

Let's put it this way, it would someone saying 'Bush Rocks' at the Democratic National Convention, except for Christians, it's more serious than that.

The Bible says in 1 Samuel 16:14-23 that whenever King Saul was being troubled by an evil spirit or presence that David played his harp and the evil presence departed. Why was that? I believe it was because our actions carry our spirits. So David's music carried the Spirit of God on it and delivered Saul. Now in the New Testament we see Paul being aggravated by a evil spirit (Acts 16:16-18) but the key is to rise up in your authority as a Christian and command that evil spirit or presence to leave you alone. Hope that helped!

Yes we will. However if i am not trying to live for Christ but myself (even though im a Christian) I wont be led by the Holy S[irit of these things. If we stay close and clean (not perfect but clean) then the Holy Spirit will convict us, if its somthing we wouldnt know was padan or satanic. I read of a story from Bob Larson (even though i do think he is a bit nutty sometimes) that he was performing an exorcism and the deamon was drawing power of a wooden carving that , unknown to him, was satanic and was given to him by a friend. How he knew was the deamon wouldnt leave the host body and Bob was doing everything right and he was right with God and he asked the deamon why he wouldnt leave and after fighting not to tell him, the deamon told him. Gey it out if you have it and if your fighting somone who does have it warn them and instuct them to get it out but dont press the issue. If they wont do it you cant force them. Thanks

It makes more sense to feel an uneasiness when you actually see those disturbing items, because you don't want to have anything to do with the enemy of God.

However, hypothetically speaking, it's not impossible to be warned, at times, against such things that you are not aware of at the moment...

If something makes you uncomfortable it probably doesn't belong in your home. Get rid of it. If it belongs to someone else kindly explain to them why this is so, and ask them to take it home with them. If you value their friendship and they yours, this shouldn't be a problem. If they get defensive or argumentative about it, maybe it's time to end a friendship. We are influenced by the people we have around us more than we are by objects, so pick your friends wisely.

Well now. There's no such thing as god, there's no such thing as the devil. Astrology and witchcraft are just products of a deluded mind. Don't even worry your poor little head about it. Get real. Get a life!
