Why would a person get a nasty email from Yahoo Answers saying they were in violation of Community Guidelines for using a bible verse to answer a quesiton? Arent we in the R & S category? Or did someone turn that person in?

you are walking down the street. and walking in front of you someone drops something. how far would that person have to be away from you for you to decide not to alert them that they dropped something?

there are other variables of course. men will have MUCH higher distances if it is a beautiful woman who drops something than if it were another man who had dropped something.

I believe so. My belief is that Christianity is the unadulturated worship of God. My belief is that religion is man made rituals imposed by man. Each religion or 'church' has its own rituals and beliefs. Are they acceptable? I believe in only what the Bible tells me. Who agrees and who disagrees.

Please, do not answer this question with one liners (lol's) and personal insults.

It appears to state in the bible in a very definite way, a way that does not seem open to interpretation that it is hard (below). Why is this so often ignored by wealthy Christians ?

When Jesus heard this, he said to him, "You still lack one thing. Sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me."

When he heard this, he became very sad, because he was a man of great wealth.

Jesus looked at him and said, "How hard it is for the rich to enter the kingdom of God!

When the subject comes around about God, or talk about God, do you directly say "Oh I'm an Atheist" Do you tell people without hesitation? Do you like to try to have a conversation why you don't believe in God?

I'm asking this because here on Yahoo!Answer it seems so many just love mentioning that they're an Atheist. But in person I wonder if you're different and don't mention that you are!

All of them have endless scriptures and so-called "experts" that defend their particular interpretations of doctrine.

They ALL disagree!

Most of them disagree on the methods and means of SALVATION! All using the same book! All backing up what they say with SCRIPTURE and EXPERTS!!!

How could such a book be the infallible Word of God? Is this some kind of joke from God?

I'm wondering, after breaking away from Christianity (or Xianism) I'm wondering how I would go about breaking away from the christian church I attended for about a year or so. I am 22 and my parents still want me to go. I've told them "I don't want to" and they ask why and I go "because I don't want to". Obviously this is MY decision not theirs.
I've thought about JUST attending on holidays but that wouldn't be good either.
