Or the other way around, if you're an Atheist, would you be friends with someone who believes in God?

Yes. I am friends with all kinds of people. My criteria for that friendship is a guide given in our Holy Book, the Blessed Quran.

It says not to make friends with people who ridicule my religion. So I have dear friends who are Muslim, Catholic, Mormon, and other Christian faiths, and Hindu and Bahai and Qadani and atheist.

I walk away from people who start to ridicule my faith just as much as I do people who put me down personally.

Peace

I am a believer and associate with Atheists both in and outside the work place. We do not have a common ground needed to establish a close friendship. That type of relationship will not go any further than being acquaintances because of different interests and everyone is fine with that...as a matter of fact we have some good discussions.

I am a Christian and I would be friends with an Atheist, but probably not close friends just because I probably would prefer to talk over problems with someone who had the same beliefs as I do. A Christian and an Atheist would just see things from different prospectives and I would like my friends to pray for me, which obviously an Atheist wouldn't do.

I believe. I have had Atheist friends all my life. Some just don't care one way or the other. Some are believers in "Intellegent Design" but not a personal God.I believe all 66 books of the Bible.

I'm sure that question would apply to pretty much everyone.. I mean, we all have family/friends who don't share the same convictions/beliefs as we do. And most of the time, we have no idea..

Personally, as a Christian.. I would absolutely be their friend, as the Bible says we are to be friendly to everyone.. I would not turn them away, nor would I criticize/judge them, but I would definately be praying for them.

Sure - I have lots of god-believing family and friends. Brother-in-law is a pastor.

I'd be sorta an asse to cut them out of my life, wouldn't I?

Yes I would as long as we respected each others beliefs. Race or religion should not keep anyone from being friends. If you are a true friend you will respect each other no matter what religion you are.

Yes, I believe in God. Yes, I would be friends with an atheist. God would forgive them, and so would I.
