Hmmmm... they let sex offenders run 360 pages, but they attack people for using Bible verses? That seems a little strange. It sounds like either they made a mistake, or someone seriously hates religion. Someone who hates religion probably turned them in, of course.

Yahoo Answers comes off pretty rude when you "Violate" Community Guidelines. I've never gotten an explanation on my Violations.
My guess is the violations department is understaffed, and makes decisions in less than a minute. You were probably fine.
I'm sure we can quote bible verses, unless they are one of the ones that sounds really nasty out of context.

There are people on this site who will report others out of pure spite
incidentally, can I please ask EVERYONE to complain about Violations when they are not warranted.?
A lot of people have been deleted recently after working very hard to get up to a level where they can ask and answer unlimited.
If you get violated for something that is NOT even close to being offensive, please report it with the email header "harassment by another user" and state that you do not deserve this violation. Say that it is harassment and you want the matter investigated and the REPORTERS account suspended.
I will be reporting EVERY one from now on
Lets stop the mindless yobs destroying our work
Just one point though. If you deserve the Violation - take it on the chin !

Y!Answers has a poor policing policy.
I've seen plenty of questions and answers removed for various reasons. I've seen complaints about this on the Yahoo! blog.
As far as I can tell, anyone can simply report a question or answer as abuse. Yahoo! doesn't actually go through and verify the veracity of that report. It just acts on that report. I've seen a question removed for being an "advertisement" when it clearly was not advertising anything. It shows how little attention Yahoo pays.
And now that you've brought it up, I'm sure someone will report it out of spite. I hope you can read all your answers before that happens.

It depends on what violation the person was said they committed. Someone wrote an abuse report for them, that's for sure. I got turned in once for "not answering the question" when in fact, I did answer the question. It happens to the best of us. I wouldn't really worry about it that much.

Been asserting that for an prolonged time... This website isn't approximately serious soccer questions... flow to a various website in case you decide on that "What replaced into the Arsenal score?" gets extra solutions that ''why are English footballers much less technically proficient than their ecu/African/South American etc, opposite numbers?" this is approximately gentle entertainment.... lifting the boredom, and banter... why pretend that we are here for serious footie questions, as quickly as we realised some time past that this wasn't the area for that? hence... i'm going to presently be asking "What replaced into the Charity safeguard score" *Disclaimer* - and from next week.... be arranged for a barage on activity-lacking questions...

Someone turned that person in. I have gotten violations for answering the question, backing it with scripture.
Questions like:
"Christians, what does God believe about ____"
I used scripture to answer the question and got a violation notice.
Don't sweat it, it happens to everyone - the Yahoo police/nazi's pick on everyone.

Someone who apparently didn't like the verse they used turned them in for abuse...
And the email from Yahoo was probably automatically generated with no real teeth behind it...
Yahoo only does something if they are reported for abuse multiple times from multiple sources...
