you are walking down the street. and walking in front of you someone drops something. how far would that person have to be away from you for you to decide not to alert them that they dropped something?

there are other variables of course. men will have MUCH higher distances if it is a beautiful woman who drops something than if it were another man who had dropped something.

*please include your religion in your answer

I would alert the person however far away they were so long as I could still see them.

I would pick the item up and probably run after them whilst saying excuse me and then gently tap them on the arm so as not to scare them. I would do this whatever gender/age/race the person was.

I don't consider myself to be a particular religion, I try to take bits from each religion to make myself a good person. I do however pray to "A God" each night.

I go out of my way to return dropped or lost items to individuals. I believe that I am not so hard up that I need to profit off of someone's lost this way. God has done a good job in providing for me. Answered by Christian.

My answer is exactly the same as Bring It On's. I don't care who it is; if I seem them drop it, I will do my best to alert them and return the object.

Reguardless of who it is or what they dropped if I see someone drop something I would let them know immediately. If they didn't respond or didn't want it and it was money well I'd take it!

I am a Satanist

They would have to be far enough away from me so I couldn't identify who dropped the item. But if I knew who it was, I would definitely return it.

I'm Pagan.

Well if I see anyone drop something, I let them know and maybe pick it up for them if they have they hands full. It's just the honorable thing to do.

I would respond immediately, and either pick up the item and return it, or bring it to their attention....so they could retrieve it themselves. I don't think this has anything to do with religion. Maybe it has more to do with spirtituality and humanism. Its just the courteous thing to do.

depends on what was dropped.

the greater the monetary or potential sentimental value, the more effort I'd make to return it to it's owner.

I am a Christian female and I would return whatever it was as long as I could keep up with them. Depends on how fast they got in a cab, etc. etc.

Unless I couldn't see them so I had no idea where the hell they were, I would catch up to them and give it back. If I did loose them I would put it in the lost and found. Thank god, I've never lost somebody. Atheist.
