Have you ever asked God why we are here and what is the meaning of life?

Yes, and He also wants me to know that although He isn't always easy for me to understand, He is still there with me always.

What did God say after you asked him these questions?

He showed me the teachings of Bhakti Yoga.

Have you ever asked Jesus Christ these same questions?

I guess, can't remember. Although I believe that Lord Jesus is a Great Soul especially empowered by God, I still feel that much of the teachings of Lord Jesus need special interpreting for modern times.

What did Jesus Christ say after you asked him these questions?

I believe Lord Jesus would like me to come up with correct interpretations for his teachings and examples.

As a child, I studied the Catechism which had the answer to your question. God made us to know, love and serve God and to be with God in the next life. I have lived this belief. I believe it with my life.

No, I do not talk to myself and expect an answer, why?

We can see for ourselves that there is no meaning to life. We create our own meanings. For you it might be to be a good Christian and die believing you will go to Heaven... for others it might simply be raising and supporting a loving family.
On the fundamental level, though, our mission is the same: to propagate our genetic material... just like all organisms.

no but ive asked myself these questions and the answer that i came up with for both of them is 'what ever you want it to be' we make our own purpose in life and our own meaning to make an imprint on history. if you feel as if your meaning in life is to have a get married, have a kid, and hold a decent job, then thats your meaning in life.

Once I wanted to die. Long story but life sucked.
I asked God to take my life. I heard a voice in my head say, "But I have great plans for you"
I almost wrecked the car!!
Really!
