According to most Biblical scholars today, "Mark was written in the 60's or slightly after the year 70, with Luke and Matthew following 10-20 years later. Other solutions, such as the Augustinian hypothesis and Griesbach hypothesis, would give Matthew priority and a possible date of 40. John is most often dated to 90-100, though a date as early as the 60s, and as late as the second century have been argued by a few."

Are people going to totally believe a Bible just because they were told to, verses hard facts that his body/tomb has been located? The Bible has been rewritten so many times that the original texts and meanings have been lost, as is the fact that there are the Gnostic books which are missing and tell a very different story than what the current Bible explains.

Given that America has only a tiny minority of Atheists (between 1% and 5%) they (we) seem hugely over-represented on Answers.
Why is this?
I realise many countries answer here but the majority are American (I'm not)

There are so many websites that are done by enemies of Islam. Those websites have false information abt Islam and they say it is true.

I hope you people will know more about Islam by reading the REAL ENGLISH-TRANSLATED KORAN. See a real Muslim website. And talk to a real Muslim.

I just want people to know that Islam is not abt terrorism, violence etc like what the media has shown. Satan wants people to know wrong facts about Islam.

a) God controls Satan, but choose to let him run amok.

Of course, that means God is ultimately responsible for Satan's evil in the same way you would be responsible if your child was a serial murderer, but you refused to stop him/her.

or

b) God can't control Satan, and therefore Satan is really the omnipotent one.

In which case it would only stand to reason that we should placate Satan, who seems to have ultimate control.

So, which is it? It has to be one OR the other.

I have always wondered what it would be like to the a World leading authority in something. Or to be the best at something. Perhaps we all have it in us to be this, but haven't quite found the potential. How does one find it in themselves to be THE BEST at one particular thing? Is it to get up and keep trying, or is it a God given gift that someone is blessed with at birth?

Many religions who believe in the creator say that desire is bad. But have you thought that creation is not possible without the desire to create, which may imply imperfection on the part of the alleged creator? I am taking this of a religious book. Just wanted to know your views. I'm not against anyones religion by the way so don't attack!

The title, is pretty much it.
Most, if not all, monotheistic religions believe that their God is Omnipotent and that he wants me to believe in him and therefor worship him. Well if he created me, he MUST know what evidence my brain would need to believe in him. Why hasn't he presented it to me? And DONT tell me its my choice! It cant be because if he knows my future he knows what I WILL and WONT choose in ANY given situation! And DONT tell me I'm on a path TOWARD God, because MANY, MANY people have died not believing in a God. They never found him, and their path is OVER.
"If I came to God's court and was asked why I never believed in him, my answer would be 'not enough evidence, sir. Not enough evidence.' "

My fiance says that it is insulting for someone who's not a Catholic priest to wear the white collar. I say there is no restriction as to religion, although they must be a qualified member of the clergy to validly do so. If you have links to any "proof" one way or the other, I would appreciate it!!!

it seems many do not. If Christians can't disown the OT, they must accept that God is murderous and genocidal. Is that a problem?
