Jesus was actually married three times. In order to be a Rabbi, and teach at the synagogue, it is required that he have been married, so get past that problem. His first wife was named Cypros, a Nabateen Arab and daughter of Cypros and Alexas. Together they had five children, Three boys Adminius, Guierious, and Caradoc, and two girls, Eigan and Gladys. His first wife's name is not mentioned in the bible, so don't go crazy looking for it...
His second wife was named Mary Magdalene, as unfortunate as it sounds there is some historical evidence to suggest that she may have been one of Jesus sister's. I can hear the collective jaws dropping of all the Christians, so get over it, this is what history, says, not my personal viewpoint. History does not record if they had children..
Jesus third wife was Aricia (Areddig), which is recorded in the Tactitus records as Cartismandus. There is no record of them having children either.

Yes it is, and has been an issue for a few centuries, because in Jesus times nobody could be called Rabbi, much less be a prophet, if the person wasn't married.

The problem is not whether Jesus was married or not. If he were, nothing will change the message he gave to his followers, because it is not contradictory in any way.

The true problem will be to get scholars to publish their findings with honesty. There is a lot of presure from most Christian leaders/scholars who seek to prevent any more information about the findings.

It is well known that the most recent discoveries about Jesus (not the tomb, but the ancient manuscripts found in the 1980's) will shake the foundations of Christianism as we know it. Just some of those manuscripts have been made public, and has created the uproar that we now see among Christians and Non-Christians.

I believe the people deserve the whole translation, not just pieces of it. And the Churches must stop putting pressure to prevent the publication of such findings.

Hysterics & dogmatists not withstanding, Bible scholars know very little of the life of Jesus. Some pseudo-scholars do a lot of extrapolation from meagre sources. For example, the identity of the Gospel writers is speculative at best - ditto with "Revelation", and Paul never knew Jesus at all.

The historian Josephus, who might be seen as an "objective" reporter, also "reported" a fair share of nonsense about monsters & unicorns. And he only addresses very general information surrounding the fate of Jesus at the hands of the Romans. Many mainstream religious Jews do think and record comments that Jesus was around in the period in question. But again, aside from his preaching, there is nothing known about his private life.

So it's not a question of whether the have any interest on the subject. It's just that there is no information, one way or another, ON the subject.

And yes, it would have been "weird" and inappropriate for a 30-odd year old Rabbi to be single.

The marital state of the Christ is not an issue amongst the scholars of the Bible. It is a social conversation piece amongst the biblical illiterate in major circles of transient influence.
Don't be paying any attention to this fad. If you want to satisfy your intrigue, then I would suggest you go to the source of the Christs' story. The New Testament.

There isn't one shred of evidence—not one—to support this idea. The latest book and upcoming documentary are fiction—and that's exactly what this idea is: fiction.

Nowhere in the Bible (or in any other Christian writing after Jesus' ministry) is there any hint at all that Jesus was married. For example, His closest relatives and disciples came together at the cross as He was dying—but no wife is mentioned, as she would have been if He had been married. Jesus' sole concern then was for the welfare of His mother (see John 19:26-27).

This isn't to say that Jesus disapproved of marriage—not at all. In fact, His first miracle took place at a wedding, to which He had been invited with His mother and some of His disciples (see John 2:1-11). God gave marriage to us, and Jesus spoke often about the joys and responsibilities of marriage. Most of the earliest disciples were married, including Peter (whose mother-in-law was healed by Jesus—Mark 1:30).

Jesus came into the world for one reason: to die for our sins on the cross. Don't be misled by myths that might turn you away from that great truth. Instead, make sure of your commitment to Him, for "He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree (cross), so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness" (1 Peter 2:24).

YES Jesus the Messiah lived a celibate life and Bible scholars agree-there is the man in prison in France for fraud that believed the fiction book written about this-he heads the society that the book mentions "The code" I know Jesus too personally I repented from my sins and He came into my heart and became my best friend.

He said he would in Revelation 3:19&20 I love you, and knock on your heart door to come in, if you repent from your sins and ask me in to be your friend."

this is the God salvation-and had He had children they would be worshiped today -God had a plan and he has one for you today-without doubt and with reality.

No it's not an issue.
The claim He was married cannot be validated with evidence.
His own conclusion is statistic based. Another guess.
A man named Jesus and a woman named Mary have bones laid together.
Do that statistically today and you would have a 1 in 100 chance of placing those two NAMES together.
That's all he is going on is names.
In his own words"It will shake the foundation of Christianity"
Seems he has an agenda in his mind.
Any reasonable person with archaeological knowledge knows that his conclusions are guesswork.

I DO NOT KNOW, AND I DO NOT CARE, I DO NOT NEED TO KNOW THE SEX LIFE, OR LACK OF FOR ANYONE, EVEN GOD,
I KNOW I AM NOT GOD, OR OF ANY ENTITY OF GREAT POWER,,I AM JUST A ?QUESTION MARK..

I THINK FOR MYSELF IT IS MORE IMPORTANT TO LEARN THE TRUE MEANING OF THE WORD,
THE BIBLE, THE STORY, AND HISTORY OF JESUS, AND HOPEFULLY, IF I BECOME A SCHOLAR, I CAN HUMBLE BE A GRADUATE, IN EFFORT TO UNDERSTAND AND JOIN IN THE CELEBRATION THAT THERE IS INDEED GOD, CHRIST, AND FORGIVENESS, FOR MY SINS, AND I CAN TRULY LIVE IN PEACE AND SHARE THE PEACE WITH OTHERS,

SO?dah, IF CHRIST WAS NOT SINGLE, I JUST HAVE MORE TO LEARN, AS IT IS TAKING A LONG TIME TO GRASP HIS BASICS

GOOD LUCK
PS. I DONT THINK IT IS THAT IMPORTANT TO "BE RIGHT", and PROVE OR DISPROVE ANYTHING,, I THINK IT IS IIMPORTANT TO LEARN "HOW CAN I GET TO GO TO HEAVEN" and BE WITH THE "GOOD GUYS"?

I'm not sure why it should matter one way or the other. The teachings are what really matters. Christianity does not require lifetime celibacy for all Christians, so I don't see why Jesus would be making a bad example if he was married.

It's just another attempt to sway people away from believing in Jesus Christ, who is God the Son. Those who bring it up just can't stand it that a human was amongst them for a season who was pure and perfect.
