Mark traveled with Peter and acted as his scribe. Mark never was considered one of the twelve disciples, nor has he mention in the gospels, so we are unsure whether or not he ever knew Jesus. Luke was a Greek doctor who travelled with Paul and acted as his scribe. Again, we have no reason to believe he ever met Jesus. Mark and Luke wrote down the accounts of first hand witnesses, but they weren't first hand witnesses themselves.

Who are Mark and Luke. They are two separate people.

Basically, Mark is Mark, and Luke is Luke. Disciples, but no record of their being Apostles or anyone famous. They were just journalists basically, and the books by their names are their journals.
