Is Marco Polo considered a prophet, since it was long believed that it was he who introduced noodles to the Western world?

Whenever someone is asked to explain something on a religious level, if they cant justify it or explain it, they just say 'You have to have faith'

What a nice, all encompassing, get out of jail free card that works in all situations.

I would love it if Scientists came up with a new vaccine, but instead of putting it up for clinical trials, they just said 'Of course it works, you just have to have faith. Dont question my work.' That kind of reasoning wouldnt get you very far in the real world.

I mean he doesn't have the right to do it,does he?
i think if God had allowed him to build religions the world would have been screwed up.

Adam and Eve in the mystical story was created in the garden. Where was the garden? Was it not here? Why do you think humans continue to believe that heaven is somewhere else?

Obviously, the atheist chick would be full of crap and probably have a weekly appointment at the abortion clinic, but at least you wouldn't have to worry about your car getting bombed.

Am I right?

Particularly those in the Nation of Islam and other sects in the US dominated by blacks? I believe they are Sunni, so do Sunni Arab Muslims feel a strong connection to them, even though they are converts? Also, what do Shiites think?

I find is somewhat puzzling, that many western believers feel that "God" as they call it, is all loving and all powerful, but yet they feel there are mistakes in the world, as though the creator does things to harm people. Or, they say, "no, the devil did it", as though their "God" would even create a devil...

Survival of the fittest? Delusional?

Also, please say, if possible, if you are actually agnostic or atheist - there seems to be some confusion in some of your past answers.

It is quite surprising and unfortunate that so many people out there are still under the delusion that god exists.
My question is what and why do people believe god exist?
Logically, scientifically and spiritually, is it not blatantly obvious that god does not and cannot exist?

God is described by the prophets (and the apostle)who saw him as shining like precious stones, looking extraordinarily.
Men usualy don't wear rings nowadays, except the weding rings. Many men consider wearing rings as being a womanly habit. In the past rich men used to wear jews...

Could God wear a ring , eventualy with a precious stone?

My cousin has expressed interest in learning more about the bible and Jesus. I would like to get her first her own bible but also maybe a small book such as "the purpose driven life" or anything similair, any ideas? She has no religous background and all information would be new to her. Please if you do not have the same beliefs as I you do not need to post rude comments just move on to the next question that you feel can answer. Thank you

I mean, what are the odds, that in the millions of years that this planet has been revolving and that mankind has been developing, God has only chosen the last 2000 years to send a messenger. He kinda took his time didnt he?

Also people take the Bible as Gospel (both literally and figuratively), but we all know that history books are full of propaganda that is slanted the way the author wants us to interpret events. How do we know that whoever wrote the Bible, didnt just embellish a few of the 'facts' to suit the story.

Also my final point is that Jesus was around 2000 years ago, surrounded by an awful lot of uneducated people (not having a pop, its just fact), so fooling people in those days would be much easier than trying it on now.

Most humans in the western world refer to the creator of all that is, as a "God". And they view this God as a man, typically.

IS this Culture or is this Criminal?
Or is it just plain dumb ignorance?

The child obviously suffers by being abandoned to die of starvation or be killed by wild animals, and the mother suffers as well.
Do you think that this is good, bad, or you can't tell because you don't believe in a good or a bad?

Isn't it true that as we have become more intelligent, we have also recognized the rights of other living things because of our heightened awareness and ability for empathy and compassion?

Our evolution has made us more aware of the truth.

If a tribe sacrificed their children thousands of years ago, even though the children were frightened, horrified, in pain, felt betrayed by their caretakers, But those who participated thought it was "good", does that make it so?
OR does that just make them dumb?

When we become aware, say, of the injustice of female genital mutilation, though it is culture, can it also be recognized as just being wrong, something done by the dumb?
