Interesting. I am not religious but I certainly do not deny the possibility of God. I think you are wrong by stating "Logically and Scientifically... obvious that God cannot exist" - the mere nature of learning has tought us just how little we know and how much more there is to learn. Just as in all human history, I'm quite certain many of the the things that we hold scientifically and logically "true" today will be proven false tomorrow. The universe if far larger and organized than we can perceive. To think we are at the top of the evolutionary chain, to me, is ridiculous. I personally believe the universe is vast, teaming with life (both physical and what we now call "spiritual") and that at some eventual point there is a supreme intelligence (but that may just be my narrow mind trying to make sense of the vastness of it all). I hold open the possibility of anything...

It is such an interesting question. I always think that people who condemn atheists for not believing are being unfair. If you don't believe - it is because you have no reason to - you simply don't feel it - and in no other area that I can think of is it a good thing to trust in something of which you have no knowledge.
Having said that however, I do believe. I have an extremely liberal view of God, but I just know there's something greater. I can feel it, and weird as it may sound to you who doesn't think this is possible, I have a personal relationship with God and have had prayers directly answered. I don't think that science directly contradicts the concept of God at all. I think they exist in harmony with one another. I can think of no scientific evidence that disproves the existence of God. Question for you: Do you believe in sadness? Probably. Why? Because you've felt it, right? Hope this helps a little...

Your question is related to the cosmological argument for a First Cause of everything:
One needs to have a formalized understanding of logic and philosphy to understand the topic of God's existence. Here is a starting point:
Premise: Every event has a cause
Premise: The universe has a beginning
Premise: All beginnings involve an event
Inference: This implies that the beginning of the universe involved an event
Inference: Therefore the beginning of the universe had a cause
Conclusion: The universe had a cause
For something to have caused the universe it must have existed outside of the universe and time. That First Cause could only have been an omnipotent supernatural agent, God.
Another argument is one from design:
1. The universe began to exist
2. The universe has complexity, order and fine-tuning
3. Complexity, order and fine-tuning imply design
4. Design that began to exist implies a designer
5. Therefore, the universe has a designer
Premise 1: See Big Bang theorem (Hawking, Penrose) All matter and time itself began at this moment
Premise 2: Universe has complex designs, e.g, cellular DNA, Laws of Physics, fine-tuning for life on earth, etc.
Premise 3: Nothing ordered can come from chaos, an orderer is required. Laws of Nature are often cited as counterexamples, yet these very Laws are themselves ordered.
Premise 4: Self evident. If something did not exist, there is no beginner or designer
Thus, the universe has a designer, God.
Once I conclude logically that a designer exists, I must then look to evidence of this designer's will. After investigating, the bible appears to me to be the most reliable revelation of this supreme being. You can review the two links below for discussion about the reliability of the bible.
Accuracy of bible:
http://www.carm.org/questions/trustbible.htm
http://www.carm.org/demo2/bible/reliable.htm
While all of my questions will never be definitively answered, I find that rationally my belief is on solid ground. There are many things in the world we do not fully understand, yet we have no problems in believing them. For example, solar physics is not fully known, yet we all accept the "fact" that the sun will rise tomorrow.
I have also taken the time to spend years in universities studying theology as well as science (have a Ph.D.), so I could more fully understand what I have staked my eternal soul upon. I don't advocate everyone do this before making a decision one way or the other, but I do suggest folks go beyond the rhetoric in these fourms, the media, and elsewhere, so they can be more grounded in their beliefs.

a lot of people want to even though there is no tangible evidence .Every one is entitled to there own opinion it is blatantly obvious to you. With the same reason they think that there is a God.the question is simple yes they do. No some don't.Until things change of 100% proof of yes or no.Then there will be your Question asked in 100s of years time.Is it not the same kind of speculation the big Bang theory some have all the answers.and some see that has a load of baloney. That is human nature answers for everything. But only the theorists believe it .And its their job to convince what they tell you is true.My your God go with you

some points for you to ponder!!
electricity cannot be seen, but we see it working through appliances
wind cannot be seen, but we can feel it
your body is kept going by your heart isnt it?!! who's keeping your heart going?
we are the most intelligent forms of being, do you think that knowledge comes from nothing?
we cannot be re-created. its not like you can go to a shop and buy a brain is it? or any body part for that matter
are you satisfied with not having a specific purpose to your life? have you ever questionned why you're here? I guarantee you have done, cos we all do.
Gods existence is demonstrated by the works he is doing through people who have accepted him
Just because he isnt physically seen doesnt mean he doesnt exist. I know people who God has healed physically
God answers questions people need answers to. We are here for God, we were created to worship Him, when we die we go to Heaven if we've accepted him.
I dont slag off atheists, I simply share my faith and pose questions, so why slag off Christians?

Richard Dawkins, in The God Delusion, makes the case (that others have made too) that human beings are prone to see intent where there is none. For obvious biological reasons, we more often mistake a tree branch for a person than a person for a tree branch. So, when a volcano erupts or the wind blows, we perceive a personified force where none exists.
The other big reason, I think is cultural pressure / childhood indoctrination. Most of the United States is not a good place to believe God doesn't exist -- you could lose your home, job, etc.

I absolutely agree with your take on things. I think people believe in god either because they were brought up to and take it as read, or because they are afraid of death and it's easier to believe something is watching over them and that they'll go to a better place when they die. To me, it is blatantly obvious there's no god, but a lot of people aren't comfortable with that. Which is probably why we get so many aggressive answers! They're just scared...

Who cares why they think that God exists - they can believe anything they want as far as I am concerned as long as they do not try and ram their own beliefs down my throat - Let them get on with it - If you ask these sort of questions, you are opening yourself up for the "joy filled my heart" brigade to give you a lesson on the scriptures - unless that's what you were after?

in case you have been born in a diverse area of the international or perhaps in simple terms in a diverse family contributors, you will have diverse ideals, the two in a diverse deity or in none in any respect. could that be a reason to deliver you to hell? religious theory is linked to subculture and custom. undergo in strategies which you fervently believed in Santa in view that theory became into bolstered. and additionally you believed in the specific Santa your father and mom advised you approximately. Feeling a presence or a power isn't a demonstration of something, by utilising the way. i'm advantageous that isn't the form you're making judgements approximately the rest on your existence. it is the flexibility of suggestion. we would opt for to have self assurance and we see signs and indications the place we would like them to be, on a similar time as ignoring the places the place there are no longer any signs and indications or contradictory signs and indications. this is called the Forer consequence. while i seem on the international, i do no longer see a reason to invoke any supernatural being at any time. I do exactly no longer see it. I do see, although, how human beings bounce with the aid of hoops to cajole themselves that they see God and that i see human beings draw conclusions in line with no longer something extra advantageous than accident. working example, human beings will think of they are psychic the day they take place to dream approximately something that easily comes real in an prolonged time. yet they forget the million desires that they had till now that did no longer come real. they think of their prayer got here real while this is organic accident. Pray approximately something it is mindless and it will in no way take place. seem at fact face on. you already be responsive to deep down that there is not any God. ask your self why you're no longer able to allow pass of that theory. on the comparable time, permit time make its path. communicate with human beings of diverse ideals and notice what's wise to you.

i don't know about logically or spiritually, but you can prove scientifically that gos doesn't exist, but faith is a very strong drug. to put it into perspective, there is a ton of evidence that jfk was assasinated by someone other than oswald, but no concrete proof, but millions still believe this is what happened.
so it is with god, through the bible, q'ran or whatever teaching you believe, god does exist and there is a ton of evidence, but no concrete proof, so we belive in our hearts he does exist.
why do those who profess not to believe in god belittle those who do, i don't see many people epressing their views that god exists and belittling those who belive he doesn't.
and as you state that logically, scientiffically and spiritually he doesn't exist, could you please expand on that and let us know what concrete evidence you have in all three categories.
