You have "your truth" . Don't expect it to be the truth.

I'm not entirely sure your question can be answered. It seems more rhetorical than anything. Many atheists, however, have many reasons for not believing in Jesus/God. These include belief in evolution, hypocrisy among Christians, & simple distraction.
As a Christian, I have to say that the general tone of your question is very condescending. It's not "dumb", it's "deceived". Love & patience are the only ways to respond to anyone who has not experienced God's impact on their own lives.

I really don't believe the atheist arguement is really all that "sad". Sure, I pray for them, and hope they will be saved, but their arguements make sense. I don't think their arguements are being dumber all the time, and in fact, they can probably say the same about us Christians. Remember, their philosophy "because I don't believe" comes from "I don't have any real evidence". They don't believe because they believe they've no reason to.

Caution; (From a Christian).
Caution; Just because the views of most atheists are questionable; so are views of most 'Christians' here in Y presently. 2 Tim. 3:16-17 tells us 'all scripture is given by inspiration of God...', yet many 'Christians' in hte USA use a non-scripture to define 'old testament' versus a different 'definition' scripture(s). Perhaps 'Christians' are 'turning off' atheists in Y.

Do you even read the posts on here?
Most of the Christians are the ones going, "Its true because I believe it"
Atheists simple want proof for their beliefs, why is that so hard a concept for some people?

I find statements like this to be quite ignorant. We all know there are stupid arguments on all sides of all issues. To attempt to assert that one group holds a monopoly on stupidity is naive and elementary.
Generally, I try to focus on the positive.

It's just you and your rhetoric doesn't fool anyone. Atheists can defend their viewpoint-you can't and that's what bugs you.
