I once made a remark about the hidden books of the Bible. It was a lulu, kept people looking so hard for facts. For some people it was a revelation. Some were in a jam, especially since the names of the books were not capitalized, but the truth finally struck home to numbers of readers. To others it was a real job. We want it to be a most fascinating few moments for you. Yes, there will be some really easy ones to spot. Others may require judges to help them. I will quickly admit it usually takes a minister to find one of them and there will be loud lamentations when it is found. A little lady says she brews a cup of tea, so she can concentrate better. See how well you can compete. Relax now, for there really are sixteen names of books in the Bible in this story.

Please share with me your thoughts and feelings about Islam.

I am between religions right now, former Christian.

It would be entirely helpful if anyone who cares to would share their opinion or whatever about Islam.

Thanks so much!

Hear me out before you start quoting Bible scripture:

1) If Jesus was God, there was no sacrifice because God cannot inflict pain nor "kill" himself

2) If Jesus was "divine man" (i.e., demi-god), he knew with 100% certainty that he would be returned to Heaven. That is something no real human - no matter how strong his/her faith - can ever know for sure. It is that uncertainty that causes even believers to fear death. Without it, the fear of death is gone. I would venture to guess that many people would willingly submit to brutal torture for a day or two if they knew with 100% certainty they would reach Heaven.

I remember learning about the iroquois cretion "myth" and the greek and roman "mythology" as if the religions we have today are obviously true and the others wrong.

I'm sorry, the anwer to this question is obvious but I just can't help myself any longer. Have so many of you had so little education that you do not understand the difference between these things? Please understand that they are three different explanations for three different things. They are not linked except in the most liberal of senses and if you really want to know why so many of us believe them, you honestly need to read, learn and understand.

go to heaven, hell, purgatory, or would you reincarnate?

Believers and nonbelievers alike are encouraged to answer this. I did incorporate a few different religious beliefs into this.

The other day I watched a movie about modern day slavery. It was absolutely horrible. Who could ever imagine just how horrible this epidemic really is. all over the world; women, children, and even men are taken from their schools, work, and even their very own homes, to be sold into slavery. I came across this website that has a petition that you can sign to help stop this horrible situation. It is First and for-most, will you sign it? And second; what steps can we take to help stop this from happening?

Let me lay down the facts first:

1) Muslims believe that God sent down Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad as prophets, and that they taught the same religion, though different in religious laws, etc. (and maybe name. It wasn't called Islam before Muhammad, *maybe*).
2) Muslims also believe that the early Jews and Christians changed the original Torah and Bible to make them both what they are now.

What do Christians and Jews think of this? Also, what do Christians think of Judaism? Is it just like Islam's view?

That's what many Christians will say. Is it just me, or does that sound Zombie-creepy?

AND honestly, doesn't that make life rather pointless. On Earth we must worship God fervently to get a ticket into Heaven and the chance to worship him more.
