First, the Bible stories are not ridiculous - they are fact. What is ridiculous is how people allow satan to ensnare their minds to the point that they deny their own Creator.....now THAT is ridiculous. You want to talk about interstellar transport - wait until the rapture - then you will see the real deal --- THAT is interstellar transport!! It is in the blink of an eye - about 1/10th of one second!

Without the teaching and training through the Bible stories, this species still burry their sights in dust and can never invent interstellar transport.
Open your vision with science and religion, Don't waste your rational sense in watching dust only.

You shoot your own question in the foot because it relies on two hypotheticals that can't be true.
Firstly, you assume that it is possible for a species (human classification of Earthly organisms) to have interstellar transport.
Secondly, you assume that there is a such thing as a ridiculous Bible story.
As neither of these assumptions is based on facts available to us at present, your question is moot.

It is possible for them to have an ancient belief system and belief in a superior or supreme being or creator.
It has hard to believe that chemicals can produce something that creates a TV set with a creative intellegence.
I mean that's a real leap of faith!

Once you have faith in God, you realize his power and know the things hes done in the Bible are just the beginning! The accomplishments of men pale in comparison.

And did you witness these 'ridiculous' stories, or their creation?
Really, allow the people their beliefs, I'm sure there's plenty of things you believe in that others would find 'ridiculous', so judge not, for by the same yard-stick shall ye be judged.

Sure (but I guess your question tells us where you stand). There is little t truth as well as big T Truth. To believe is not to neccessarily take the stories as literal, one could also 'beleive' they point the way to big T truth vs. being true in a literal way.
