I've said the following in quite a few of my answers, and I just wonder if any of you have anything against my reasoning here.

I consider Divinity to be what has put Order to the Universe, and to me, this includes Astrophysics and Biology and even Logic to a smaller extent, and thus, (at least to me) makes a good deal of you unadmitting believers. (I know you don't like that.)

Anyway, just curious as to if there's any arguements against this from you guys and gals. (no, I typically don't use the term gals.)

Three young Catholic boys got caught sneaking out of the seminary one night. As punishment they were commissioned to paint the main cathedral. Boys being boys they soon began goofing around. A little spilled paint here, a little spilled paint there, soon they were running low on paint. They began adding paint thinner hoping that they had enough paint to finish, but alas, the top ten feet was painted with 90% thinner.
The first boy asked, “well, what do you think?”
The second boy said, “It’s pretty dark up there, I don’t think they’ll notice.”
The third boy said, “I know, let’s ask God.”
So with a chuckle the threesome ask, “Hey, God, how do you like the paint job?”
Suddenly a voice that came from nowhere, yet everywhere at once, boomed, “Repaint...and thin no more...”

How often do you actually pray for them? I have had lots of people tell me that they will pray for me after they discover that I am an Atheist. Do you actually follow through, or do you just say it to be kind?

I, personally, don't believe that children should be led in Christian prayer at public schools. One reason I feel this way is that since everyone's tax dollars are used to fund public education, it should not cater to one group of people over another. But my main argument against this is that you can not MAKE anyone pray. You can speak the words, you can even insist that everyone close their eyes and bow their head, but you can not force anyone to pray. Therefore, would being led in Christian prayer really make a difference for those students who do not believe?

God does not force anyone to come to him, why do we as Christians feel it is our job to force everyone to go to God?

I recently got into a small arguement with an eveangelical fellow in my english class about life on other planets, galaxies, etc. I said there definately was, he said definately not, and while my opinion cannot be shifted no matter how much information you throw at me, I still wonder this; is it a common belief for eveangelical Christians to believe earth is the only planet that has life on it, and is this belief true of other religions as well?

I like creationism and would like it to be true but can't find much reliable, credible and testable evidence to support it.
So I would like to test my own belives and need to find evidence against evolution.

Do you think God would ever 'allow' the tomb to be found? How could anyone prove it was His?

Many American evangelicals live their lives no differently than the rest of secular America. They watch the same movies, listen to the same music, spend their money on the same things, and have similar values. Can such people really claim to be Christians? Doesn't the Christian faith as it is described in the Bible dicate that the follower of Christ give up his former pursuits and devote himself whole-heartedly to the advancement of the Christian message? Can American evangelicals really claim that they have given themselves fully to the message of Christ when they are spending their income on plasma screen TVs? In the meantime, Christians in other countries are being put to death for their faith. Can American evangelicals claim to be followers of Christ when they have given so little of their lives to further Christ's cause? Does being radical for Jesus really mean just wearing a Christian t-shirt, or is there something that American evangelicals are missing?

I'm asking this question due to some interesting findings in Quantum Mechanics which imply some very strange truths about our Universe that falls out of the lines of what mankind labels as "reasonable" or "logical." Is the definition of "logical" constantly changing based upon new scientific discoveries? 2,000 years ago wasn't it "logical" to assume that the earth was flat and not round? Didn't it become logical to assume that it's round after we learned about gravity?

Little Zachary was doing very badly in math. His parents had tried everything... Tutors, Mentors, flash cards, Special learning centers. In short, everything They could think of to help his math.
Finally, in a last ditch effort, they took Zachary down and enrolled him in the local Catholic school. After the first
day, little Zachary came home with a very serious look on his face. He didn't even kiss his mother Hello. Instead, he went straight to his room and started studying. Books and papers were spread out all over the room and little Zachary was hard at work.
His mother was amazed.

She called him down to dinner. To her shock, the minute he was done, he marched back to his room without a word, and in no time, he was back hitting the books as hard as before.

This went on for some time, day after day, while the mother
tried to understand what made all the difference.

Finally, little Zachary brought home his report card. He quietly laid it on the table, went up to his room and hit the books. With great trepidation, his Mom looked at it and to her great surprise,
little Zachary got an "A" in math.

She could no longer hold her curiosity. She went to his room and said, "Son, what was it? Was it the nuns?"

Little Zachary looked at her and
shook his head, no.

"Well, then," she replied, Was it the books, the discipline, the structure, the uniforms? "WHAT WAS IT ALREADY?"

Little Zachary looked at her and said, "Well, on
the first day of school when I saw that guy nailed to
the plus sign, I knew they weren't fooling around."

I was raised Catholic in a fairly traditional family and was educated in Catholic schools from kindergarten to 12th grade. My parents required me to go to mass every week throughout my childhood. I was always kind of skeptical about Catholic teachings, and when I was 15, I started to doubt the existence of God entirely. Now I'm almost 20, living at college (but still financially dependent) and consider myself an agnostic/weak atheist.
My parents are not happy about this. They don't make me go to mass anymore (thankfully), but they maintain that I'll one day come back to the Church and see "how wrong I have been." I never bring up my religious beliefs when I'm at home, but they sometimes they pick fights with me. I'm still a moral person and feel a lot freer nowadays - I'm really happy with my decision. I haven't told my relatives that I'm not Christian, and I keep my beliefs private unless asked.
Does anyone have advice to offer on how to deal with this issue? Thanks :).

Will the Red indians who were killed in USA by the early settlers about 500 years ago go to hell as they did not Know and had not excepted Christ, will the Aborignes who were subject to Genocide killed about 200years ago in Australia by European settlers go to hell as they were not Christians. Will the many tribal communities of Africa go to hell who do not believe in christ ,will the Victims Of the A bombs of Japan go to hell as most of them were Buddhists. How can you also Expect 70 percent of the non believers to believe in Christ whenever I ask that in this forum the only answer you have his you must have faith or else go to hell ,as if OTHER RELIGIONS ARE FALSE & HAVE NO VALUE
Many tribals can’t even pronounce modern Languages,
And those who haven’t heard the Gospel will be judged by their hearts and others who have refused will go to hell, just because the missionaries cannot prove the Bible to them.

What kind of God do you believe in that instead of punishing man for his folly,he forsaked his countless generations to forces of nature,( would you be able to forgive your parents if they threw you out on the streets as a punishment and in the future if you became a criminal they would come back and say sinner For your crimes we will punish you)
(Your interpretation of such a heartless God amazes me,see other religions where they state that you will be judged only by your good and bad deeds by Higher authorities)

and after that he is going to send billions of human souls who did not believe the words of his supposed son carried out by missionaries throughout the world (what the Bible Glows and the other holy books remain the same ,if you put a cross on a deadbody it comesback to life and if you put other holy symbols they remain dead )

Countless mythologies state that Gods had walked on this planet and had come to help men in Severe crisis’s (all you can say various faiths are work of the Devil
I say if they are ,Then why Did your all mighty God allow them to be created in the first place) How can you prove that many Gods may not exist Except saying Have faith and the bible states so
And the worst part is many of you still believe all have to just except Christian doctrine,
Or they will face damnation.AND another fact to your surprise
People of Spain were neither Christians or Muslims they had a sperate religion first
They were converted to Islam by the Morracan Army.
Next when your Christian armies came they converted them to Christianity By the use of The SPANISH RACK (which was a Torture Device on Which more Than A 100 THOUSAND people were tortured until They Converted to Christianity) Under orders of the Church seeing the Torture Victims many others converted Guess even the Church knew that People would not understand Christianity Without Coercion now would they
And so know 90% of Spain is Christian a miracle isn’t it.
