I do not understand how people can try to force their religion into others by making religious driven decisions and or laws.
Do these people ever think that some people might NOT follow their religion?

Examples of religion mixed with politics: The abortion issue, The Gay marriage issue and many others.

As far as I can tell, the current 'era' is the only one that has seen two Baha'i messengers: the Bab and Baha'u'llah. Why is this?
Was the message of the Bab different from that of his sucessor, or was he just a kind of prelude to the main figure, like John the Baptist in the OT?

PLEASE no wikipedia articles etc.

Please notice, I am not asking what things are sins.

There are lots of ideas out here about what is and isn't sin. Everything from sex on a desert island to following a particular religion. So the question to ask seems to be not what deeds or thoughts are sins, but rather, what defines sin?

How can one say that God is a christian God? Well ask your self this. What of the catholic's,prodestants, lutherans, mormons, jehovahs, muslim's, atheist. Do atheist have a God? If so does that make him an atheist as well. If God is not God, or if god is God, then who is not God.? How can one God exist without the other, if they each are a God? I mean who's the head God, if no one knows if,God exist or not. If God don't exist, does that mean That the non existant God, is not in control. And if the other God is ,then who is that God? Is that God an atheist, catholic, prodestant, lutheran, mormon, muslim's,what would you call that God? And all the other Gods that don't exist. Then who would be God if their is no God? And why would all theese other religions worship a God that don't exist? If God don't exist. then who are all theese people ,who worship God. And why would they worship God, if there is no God? So the whole world is worshiping a God that no one knows, so can they all be wrong

Examples:
Omnipotence and omniscience: If omnipotent, he can change his mind, which would make him no longer omniscient because he doesn't know what he will do in the future. If omniscient, he knows what he will do in the future and thus can't change his mind. If he can't change his mind he's not omnipotent.

I believe that we are. I believe that this nation is in a fight for it's soul.

One side wants this nation to continue as it always was, a trade based, secular society with civil rights and protections for minorities.

The other side wants a value based culture of dominance based in theological rhettoric.

I think it's time our society came up with some effective counter strikes to their attacks on the schools.

The next time they have a teacher who says creationism is a theory, just like evolution, we leave Dawkins literature outside of their Churches following a youth group meeting. Or perhaps naked pictures of Anna Nichole.

This is a non-violent (so far) war....but it IS a war

For those who doubt that it is....take a look at Jan's answer on my previous question, and then watch Jesus Camp.

The earth sits about 15 billion light years away from the farthest observable galaxies. (For reference, life is generally thought to have arisen on Earth about 4.3 billion years ago.)

Does God reside all the way at the edge of the universe as well as here, does God travel faster than light, or does God ignore one part of creation while attending to another part?

It has been proven that humans and chimpanzees both have the same number of chromosomes (46). If evolution doesn't exist, then why are we so closely related to monkeys by these lines? Some people don't want to believe they are related, but how can they deny it when the proof is right there in front of their eyes?

I am a Christian young woman who is in a very good relationship with a nice, Christian young man. But, I struggle with knowing how to treat him right and I often let my attitude get in the way of what could be an even healthier relationship. Our society doesn't stress on how we should be a good partner in relationships. So it is no surprise that the majority of us don't know how to treat our partners. We just "cooperate" with them but we actually don't have any knowledge on how to evoke the best in the them. Any advice?
