The Vampire Creed

I am a Vampire

I worship my ego and I worship my life, for I am the only God that is.

I am proud that I am a predatory animal and I honour my animal instincts.

I exalt my rational mind and hold no belief that is in defiance of reason.

I recognise the difference between the worlds of truth and fantasy.

I acknowledge the fact that survival is the highest law.

I acknowledge the Dowers of Darkness to be hidden natural laws through which I work my
magic.

I know that my beliefs in Ritual are fantasy but the magic is real, and I respect and
acknowledge the results of my magic.

I realise there is no heaven as there is no hell, and I view death as the destroyer of life.

Therefore I will make the most of life here and now.

I am a Vampire.

Bow down before me.

I have been going to church with my husband recently, and his church is charasmatic pentecostal. We have the same beliefs, i am not used to this kind of christian church. One of the big differences i see in this church is they believe in speaking in tongues. I dont think i believe in that. My husbands family feels strongly about it though. Can i still be a christian and not believe in it? I mean i believe it could happen and that it did but not so much anymore. But that doesnt make me a non-believer. What do you think?

Popcorn, guys.

Comeon.

How could that not be a freaking miracle?

If jesus could have died for anything, it would have been popcorn.

The bible has plenty of truth about the fact that Jesus is who He says He is......I have the scriptures handy, I just can't seem to fit all of the text in with this 1000 character limit here in the details box on Yahoo Answers. If anyone would like to see the scripture references.....please e-mail me.

May God be eternally praised.....

Those who don't believe in GOD are just Ignoring the truth! They can't and won't believe that GOD exists because that would mean having to change the way they live, to give up the sin in their lives. They can't prove that EVERYTHING was NOT created by GOD. Evolution does not hold up. And the big bang does not hold up. Everything (including those who don't believe) points to a creator. Points to GOD.
The only reason those folk choose not to believe in God is that the are afraid of change in their lives, afraid of submitting to the LORD. The can't shake or get around the "first sin" of Adam and Eve. ...GEN 3:4-5...4"You will surley not die," the serpent said to the woman. 5For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be LIKE GOD, knowing good and evil."
Non-believers are their own god. How sad.
Would you agree?? What's your thought?

...when I can't believe in some things even though I want to?

For example, I would love to believe that Jesus has risen from the dead and will establish a righteous kingdom someday. Unfortunately this sounds way to much like some of the ancient bardic tales that I read.

It sucks to not know anything. Life sucks. I wish I was never born. Don't you?

Do they not recall --- "And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand." (Mark 3:25)
This includes the house of God.

I'm am basing my question on this statement from "The Watchman Expository". And I quote:

Agnostics avoid the charge of dogmatic atheism by acknowledging the theoretical possibility of God’s existence. Yet virtually all live as if the non-existence of God was an established fact, and are thus practical atheists.

What are people's thoughts on this?

How do you know?? If you don't know, but merely believe, then you could just as well be wrong-- for all you KNOW. (Right?) Then perhaps you beliefs ought to be more tentative, more humble, and less aggressive.

You don't have God. You have a CONCEPT for God, one that is culturally-bound and so limited. I see no reason to insist on a primitive Hebrew concept for the Supreme Being, when that Being necessarily transcends all human concepts.

Leviticus 4 clearly says that if a high priest sins they must sacrifice a bull. If the whole community sins they must sacrifice a bull. And if they sacrifice a sheep it must be a female sheep with no defects.

Jesus is referred to as the lamb of God. Jesus isn't female.

How does Jesus cleanse sins if it is not in the rules?
