Love is totally selfless and sacrificing. Love is not a feeling. It is an action. Feelings change like the wind.

Depending on the type of Love, in general you're willing to over look the others faults and willing to concentrate on their good points. To Love someone is to give your heart to them, in friendship or otherwise. You're willing and able to give them a piece of yourself in exchange for a piece of them. Not to say it will last forever, and sometimes we give a piece of ourselves to the wrong person. But the nice thing is our hearts will recover, and we can go on to love again.

1. "Love is always patient and kind. It is never jealous. Love is never boastful or conceited. It is never rude or selfish. It does not take offense and is not resentful. Love takes no pleasure in other peoples sins, but delights in the truth. It is always ready to excuse, to trust, to hope, and to endure whatever comes." <1 Cor 13>

2. "True love is love that causes us pain, that hurts, and yet brings JOY. That is why we must pray to God and ask HIM to give us the courage to love. From the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. If your heart is full of love, you will speak of love. I want you all to fill your hearts with great love. Don't imagine that love, to be true and burning, must be extraordinary. No; what we need in our love is the continuous desire to love the ONE we love"
