And please don't say, "god works in mysterious ways" or "it's not our place to question how god does things" . BBOORRRINNGGGGG.

Feel free to insult me if you are Christian though, I realize it is what you live for.

Please provide your references so we can check out your claims - and I will.

Scientific evidence only please.

No evolutionist bashing please - that does nothing to support your case.

Like Anglican hate 7th Day Adventists, JW's hate Mormons, Lutherans hate Baptists, etc. etc.

I don't think Jesus said to hate your neighbour.

Maybe I just see more clearly because I don't associate with one denomination.

I have never given a hateful answer to anyone on here, but it hurts so much to see so many people actually try to discredit Evolution by minipulating things they don't understand. And I do understand a lot of the folks are very intelligent, more so then I i am sure, but only worldly intelligence. Is it that hard to believe there isnt something morepowerful, more knowing then yourself. I apoligize if I sound frustared or rude I just get so tired of people acting like they know more then Darwin or that Evolution does not exist. I just hope that one day youll pick up a book.

For example do you believe that, theoretically, IF there was a central creator of the universe, would that creator be:

- About love or hate (desiring the good of others, or their harm)?

- Powerful or weak?

- Caring or Indifferent?

What are the attributes of God, as you see them?

As for the amputees thing, God makes His decisions and they are what is best for us, yes even cancer and all the other terrible things, He wants to get through to us we just close ourselves off. You will all be in my prayers and I love you, all!

I ask because I constantly read that Islam is a religion of peace and that Muslims who preach otherwise are not being true to the religion, or its tenants. What can Muslims do to wrestle these teachings from the Mullahs that profess to be teaching the will of Allah?

So Everyone knows that dinosaurs exist. Only idiots deny that. And we all learn in preschool that cavemen & dinosaurs never really fought, because they did not exist at the same time. And in the bible it says your god created all animals in 6 days. Yet obviously humans & dinosuars never coexisted, & don't tell me all the dinosaurs died on the 5th day. I guess I proved you guys wrong, huh.

I have had so much pain in my life. Hurt, physical pain, poverty, homelessness, grief, losses, disappointments, bad marriage. I will spare you the details. Suffice it to say that I have had 3 or 4 real life Job experiences over the last 2o years. Really. Losing many things that I thought were important. And that does not even begin to discuss the pain of childhood. OK, so if God gives blessings and curses, am I so bad of a person that I keep going thru this?

I have an active prayer life. Cant find a home church since relocating. The trials have sometime caused me to doubt Him but I always end up with my faith. I used to believe that He tested me to make me more able to help in the Kingdom. I have 1st hand knowledge of many hurts. I feel called to help. My compassion is sometime overwhelming I cry for those in need. But I cant find an outlet because my life is always in turmoil. He has blessed me with children and many gifts to could help the Kingdom. Why am I cursed

If the Christian God is the God of the Old Testament, then what if Jesus had not come for 2000 years. You would have to live out Old Testament law to worship God.

Would you be willing to kill someone who worked on a Sabbath if it meant being faithful to God’s law?

If its God’s law, then shouldn’t you want to obey?

ok from this verse: Quran 4:157

there are two stories regarding the end of Jesus, which one is right?

1st story says: that Jesus has talked with his followers, and asked them who wants to volunteer and take my place to look like me, and i will guarantee he will be my partner in paradise? so a young one volunteered himself, then Jesus (P) saw him young, so he repeats it again, and again this young man insist to give his life to save Jesus, and it was him, God changed his appeareance to look like Jesus. then the heavens opened and pulled Jesus from earth toward the heavens (God saved Jesus).

2nd story, the one who betrayed Jesus for money, God has changed his face to look like Jesus and was put on the cross. and the real Jesus was pulled toward heavens (God saved him).

which story is right?

Not Guilty? What would the requirements be of being found Guilty?

In Church yesterday the topic in Sunday School was being Born Again, and this senario was given. We wrote down a list of 4 or 5 things that would convict a person. Top of the list was Desire. A desire to be born again. A decision to do whatever was necessary for however long it took to be born again. We then included (I don't remember the order), baptism, repentance, a desire to not sin anymore (not the same as not sinning), and maybe another one or two. I would also include a burning need to share this "good news" with others.
What would you include on the Guilty list? What about on the Not Guilty list? And finally, do you think there would be some on a "watch list" because there wasn't enough evidence to convict them or find them not guilt?

Mat 6:9 PRAY then like this: "Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name.

Luk 4:8 And Jesus answered him, "It is written, "'You shall WORSHIP the Lord your God, and him only shall you serve."

----------------------

Jesus never asked you to worship him.
Jesus never said he was God/YHWA.
Jesus never said he was part of the so called trinity.
Jesus prayed to God and worshiped him.

-----------------------

[72:5] They do blaspheme who say: God is Christ the son of Mary but said Christ: O children of Israel worship God, my lord and your lord whoever joins other gods with God, God will forbid him the garden, and the fire will be his abode. there will for the wrong doers be no one to help.

[5:77] Say: O people of the book exceed not in your religion the bounds (of what is proper), trespassing beyond the truth, nor follow the vain desires of people who went wrong in times gone by, who misled many, and strayed (themselves) from the even way.

Buddhism appeals to me on many levels. But as a newcomer there is something I don't understand. If so much of it is detachment, non attachment to the result/success/outcome, then why bother to do anything? My family is very externally driven and worldly-attached and I have always felt like an outsider. Thoughts?
