The effectiveness of George Bush Sr. as president is a matter of opinion. If you do not like somebody, it's unreasonable to assume that God "made a mistake" in letting him become president. Such lines of thought usually indicate a less developed mentality. Furthermore, I am Christian, but I've no need to insult you. I do not live to insult people, but rather I live to serve God.

Dubya is the President because God is moral and just.

If God was not, Gore would have been President until 2004, and that would mean a complete violation of the electoral college system and election laws established by our Justice System and Congress. That would have been immoral and unjust.

2 Peter 3:9
The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.

Sorry, but no insult intended.
I know that you ask this opening question because you actually ARE searching for real answers, and that you are drawn here by the Holy Spirit.

John 6:44
No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him. And I will raise him up on the last day.

John 6:65
And he said, "This is why I told you that no one can come to me unless it is granted him by the Father."

Jeremiah 31:3
the Lord appeared to him from far away. I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have continued my faithfulness to you.

Remember that God loves you!
John 3:16
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

The United States is not a Christian nation. There is no reason God would bless this very, very sick country with a good leader, and you must remember that we are a democrasy and elected him twice. What a shame.

You forgot. God is just, but She also has a sense of humor.

If you listen carefully you can hear her laughing every time he say nuuquler.

Because we, as human beings, are fallible. Apparently more than 50% of the US population screwed up.
