If the Christian God is the God of the Old Testament, then what if Jesus had not come for 2000 years. You would have to live out Old Testament law to worship God.

Would you be willing to kill someone who worked on a Sabbath if it meant being faithful to God’s law?

If its God’s law, then shouldn’t you want to obey?

Your right, absolutely.

You have to obey God no Matter what.

Truth of the Matter all Sinned. Everyone, would have to be put to death back then. Why didn't that happen??

Because God gave animal sacrifice to die in place of the Sinner. The Lamb, for example, must be with out blemish. (Exodus 12:5) It pointed to Jesus, who is our Lamb without (blemish) sin.

The animal Sacrifice could have never taken away sins. It was just a shadow of what was to die for us.

Jesus Christ!

Hebrews 10:
9Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.

10By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

11And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins:

12But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;

The first Covenant, prepared the way, for the Second Covenant.

Animanl Sacrifice in other words, prepared the way for Jesus Christ. It was symbolic.

Hebrews 10:
1For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.

Jesus came to fulfil the Law (OT), if he had not come, there would not be Christians, obviously. Since the gentiles who became Christians were mostly pagans, that would probably still be the case.

The Jews would probably be doing what Orthodox Jews still do today, following the Laws of the OT. As far as putting to death someone who works on the Sabbath, I don't think they do that, but they absolutely do NOT work on the Sabbath, even as much as switching on lights or cooking a meal.

This is a poorly structured question, which makes it hard to answer.

The first part is seems to be typed under the assumption that we (Christians) have stopped living under the God's laws. First of all, what laws are you talking about. If you are referring to the laws in the book of Lev. then those laws were meant so that the Jews would not intermingle with the Gentiles until they were ready. If you are talking about the 10 Commandments, then the question again fails because we still abide by those laws.

As for the second part of the question, who said anything about Christians killing anyone who worked on the Sabbath? THose were laws by the Pharisees (man). Plus, no one killed for that.

Maybe you should research your source, then re-word your question before trying to prove something.

part 1) I do my best to live like that now
part 2) depends on several things: am i Living in a Jewish nation? Is it against the law to kill someone for that ofence in the country where i am? am i the only witness? if the answer to any of these 3 Q's is no then no i wouldn't be able to kill that person for legal reasons.
why are they working?is just because the don't give a darn about God? then provided the critical 3 above are met i would take him to the judge with my other witness, and after we(the 2 witnesses) are interrogated and have our backgrounds checked and both of us are found to be good and righteous men then yes i would fling rocks at him/her.
did his car/child/cow/random person fall in a hole or something like that? then no, I'd help him. this is because the ultimate goal of God's law is for life, and if any one of them stands between the greater amount of life being saved then they can be legally broken.

Interesting question. The 6th Commandment says: Thou shall not kill, so I don't see where killing someone on the Sabbath has any relevance.

Jesus says in Matt. 11:28 "Come unto me all ye that labor and I will give you rest."

In other words after the Law has fully convicted you that you are so guilty before God's righteous judgment, it is time to repent of all your sins and put your trust in Jesus to save you from the wrath of Almighty God.

I agree with you, that cristians should obey the law our father gave for the humanity, but they have miss to study, and only believe on what the priests lies, i mean, prieches. and they dont even obey the law Jesus, their god gave them,

So, please study the bible, practice what it says, and, by the way, killing someone that worked on shabbat is not on the law, the law is love your neighbord, and recognize God is God over all other gods, powers, and mights.

God changed all that through His son Jesus so we wouldn't have to face these things.
