Mat 6:9 PRAY then like this: "Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name.
Luk 4:8 And Jesus answered him, "It is written, "'You shall WORSHIP the Lord your God, and him only shall you serve."
----------------------
Jesus never asked you to worship him.
Jesus never said he was God/YHWA.
Jesus never said he was part of the so called trinity.
Jesus prayed to God and worshiped him.
-----------------------
[72:5] They do blaspheme who say: God is Christ the son of Mary but said Christ: O children of Israel worship God, my lord and your lord whoever joins other gods with God, God will forbid him the garden, and the fire will be his abode. there will for the wrong doers be no one to help.
[5:77] Say: O people of the book exceed not in your religion the bounds (of what is proper), trespassing beyond the truth, nor follow the vain desires of people who went wrong in times gone by, who misled many, and strayed (themselves) from the even way.

The New Catholic Encyclopedia:
“There is the recognition on the part of exegetes and Biblical theologians, including a constantly growing number of Roman Catholics, that one should not speak of Trinitarianism in the New Testament without serious qualification. There is also the closely parallel recognition on the part of historians of dogma and systematic theologians that when one does speak of an unqualified Trinitarianism, one has moved from the period of Christian origins to, say, the last quadrant of the 4th century. It was only then that what might be called the definitive Trinitarian dogma ‘one God in three Persons’ became thoroughly assimilated into Christian life and thought. . . .
“The formula itself does not reflect the immediate consciousness of the period of origins; it was the product of 3 centuries of doctrinal development.”

Who told you it is a difficult thing to worship God only? The problem is that your idea of God is unitarian whereas our doctrine of God is trinitarian. The analogy I can think of is perhaps a crude analogy to shampoo. You think that shampoo can only exist as pure shampoo, yet others can use 3-in-1 shampoo. Yet both are referred to as shampoo. Your problem is to think that others are not using shampoo simply because you impose your narrow idea of a shampoo on others.

To believe, or not to believe in the Trinity has been the biggest 'debate' since the death of Christ. I was always raised to believe in it without question. However, now....I can see that you are right....Jesus never claimed to be GOD. In fact, if you study the original texts you'd see that. It's hard with our translations...plus they were translated by trinatiarns. Jesus always was doing the will of the Father; not his own will. with that being said, I also DO with out a doubt believe that Jesus is Deity.....he was there in the beginning, and is at the right hand of the Father now. I may sound funny....it's hard to explain in writing.
With that being said, I believe in God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The rest well, will that keep us out of heaven? Believing or NOT believing in the Trinity? I mean, it says no one get to the father but through the son....Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior with out a doubt.

"I am the way the truth and the life, no one comes to the father except through me"
"In the beginning was the word, the word was God and the word became flesh"
"The father and I are one"
"Before Abraham, I am"
You quote the bible but you quote the Koran which we feel is not from God at all. The old test bible has over 300 prophecies about Jesus that have come true. Telling how he died on the cross for our sins etc.
The dead sea scrolls say Abraham almost sacrificed Isaac, like the bible teaches, not Ishmael like the Koran teaches. The dead sea scrolls are way before Mohammad. You have been told a lie. The bible has many (over 5000) cataloged ancient bible findings that show our bible to be the same yesterday as today.
You have been told a lie. You have based your entire religion by one man. One man who claimed to have spoken to an angel, this man brought his "revelation' too the Jews and then to the Christians who rejected his claims.
Ask yourself, why?

I'm not christian but my understanding is that due to the misinterpretations and re-writing of scripture the concept of ONE GOD has been deliberately re-written to cause confusion and corruption within society. As we know the bible has been re-written by first the Jews and then by all the other people who decided to take it upon themselves to interpret the bible so that the Catholic Church would be ignored in the "sect" they created in order to justify their actions. Therefore after years of editing and years of ignorance the originial message has be altered. That's why many christians find contradictions in the bible including this one. How can Jesus be God when according to the bible jesus asked GOD "why have you forsaken me" when he was on the cross. Hmmmm, that right there clearly states that he's not god. also why would god send his "son" to die for people's sins? ummmmm, so he's not god but he's his son but at the same time he's called god. Now when Jesus died how many gods were there? 1,2 or 3? doesn't make sense. Too many contradictions and in the end the bible clearly states 1 God to be worshipped. yet, Jesus is the one clearly worshipped out of misinterpretations. Jesus a/k/a Pr. Isa AS was a prophet like all the others. He had the same message as the others therefore he was betrayed and his message altered out of hatred and ignorance just like all the others before him.
Sad that people don't analyze what they follow they simply follow without getting the proper answers.

The record of Jesus life, or the bible, states he existed well before 3BC or about the time he was born on earth.
Jesus was created prior to the heavens and the earth. -
Col 1:15, John 1:1 and John 17.5, "And now, Father, glorify thou me in thy own presence with the glory which I had with thee before the world was made."
Jesus existed prior to Abraham-
John 8:58, "Jesus said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was born, I am."
Matthew 22:41-45
Jesus was a descendant of David, he was older than David, and therefore David could call him Lord.
Also, while Jesus was on Earth he indicated that he was a spirit creature before and after his earthly life.
You are from below, I am from above; you are of this world, I am not of this world." John 8.23
"I came from the Father and have come into the world; again, I am leaving the world and going to the Father." John 16.28
Last remarks: It's it true as you pointed out that Jesus gave glory to his father and said his father is greater then he. For his father created him so he should give him all the glory.
Philippians 2:6 Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped.

There is no way to the father except through Jesus.
John 14:6, Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the father except through me."

Jesus did say in John 17:5;
'And now, O Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the world was.'
I never pray to Jesus, I pray to the Father in heaven and I ask that my prayer be answered in the name of Jesus. However I know that my redemption comes from His death, burial, and resurrection of which I am eternally grateful.

Misrepresentation of Christian doctrine
A false understanding of the Trinity by stating that it is three gods. That is not the correct Christian definition of the Trinity doctrine. Christianity does not teach there are three gods. It never has and it never will. The doctrine of the Trinity is that there is only one God who exists in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Trinitarianism is monotheistic.
Claiming that the Bible is false because it contradicts the Qur'an.
This is simply begging the question. That means that one assumes the validity of the thing that he is trying to prove. You assume the validity of the Qur'an and because it contradicts the Bible, the Bible is wrong.
No, Jesus never said the exact three words, "I am God". But Jesus also never said the exact four words, "I am a prophet" or the exact four words "I am a man," but we know he was both a prophet and a man. It is not necessary for Jesus to say the exact phrase "I am a man" for us to know that he was a man. Likewise, it is not necessary for Jesus to utter the exact three words "I am God" in order for us to determine whether or not he is divine. Jesus may not have said the exact sentence "I am God" but he did claim the divine name for himself (Exo. 3:14 with John 8:58) and he also received worship (Matt. 2:2; 14:33; 28:9; John 9:35-38).
When Moses was up at the Mount speaking to God, Moses asked God what his name was. God said, "I AM WHO I AM”; and He said, “Thus you shall say to the sons of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you,’” (Exodus 3:14). In John 8:58 Jesus said, "Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was born, I am.” Right after this the Jews pick up stones to throw at him. Later, in John 10:30-33 Jesus claimed to be one with the Father and the Jews wanted to stone him again because they said to Jesus, "You, being a man, make yourself out to be God." Jesus had claimed the divine name for his own in the Jews wanted to kill him for it. Therefore, from Jesus' own mouth we see that he was claiming to be God.
We know that Jesus is God in flesh
John 1:1,14, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God...14And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth."
John 20:28-29, "Thomas answered and said to Him, "My Lord and my God!" 29 Jesus said to him, "Because you have seen Me, have you believed? Blessed are they who did not see, and yet believed."
Heb. 1:8, "But of the Son He says, 'Thy throne, O God, is forever and ever, and the righteous scepter is the scepter of His kingdom.'"
As a man, Jesus needed to pray. When He was praying he was not praying to Himself, but to God the Father.
Why would Jesus tell the desciples to baptize in these Words?
Jesus designated in Matt. 28:19, "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit." The clear command of Jesus is to baptize this way.
God calls Jesus his Son
Mk 1:10-11
10 And straightway coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens opened, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon him:
11 And there came a voice from heaven, saying, Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

Everything up to heaven and down from heaven has to go through Jesus. God looks down on earth through Jesus, because Jesus's blood cleanses the sin of the world. And when you pray to God you pray to God in the name of Jesus. Because Jesus is the way, the truth and the life and no one can get to the father but through him.
