It has been proven that humans and chimpanzees both have the same number of chromosomes (46). If evolution doesn't exist, then why are we so closely related to monkeys by these lines? Some people don't want to believe they are related, but how can they deny it when the proof is right there in front of their eyes?

mzJakes, you need to re-establish your education. The chromosome number for both is 46. Look it up.

The word "chromosomes" relates to how we are created from our ancestors, so seeing as some of you deny the link between humans and chimps, perhaps I shouldn't even bother trying to explain how that works.

Actually chimpanzees have 48 chromosomes and humans 46. It is not the number of chromosomes but the analysis of the genomic sequences in humans and chimps that gives us clear forensic evidence of the evolutionary relationship. Especially in regard to short and long interspersed sequences in genes as well as the landscape of fossilized genes (gene sequences deactivated by stop codes).

Followers of most religions are selective in what they choose to believe, disregard and twist to suit their needs.
By the way, chimpanzees aren't monkeys, they're apes.
Edit: Of course, you then get people like primoa, who doesn't even know that the ape in that movie was an Orangutan, not a Chimp. Half-wit.

I only believe in the Word..
I am not denying anything about the chromosomes.
Just because we have the same number of chromosomes, why do you think we came from them.
God created everything and He had a reason for making monkeys so close to humans. Maybe in the future they will serve as a medical miracle for sickness, we just do not know, but God does... I do not question His works

People who don't believe in evolution are not looking for proof. They already believe the KNOW the answer, and there is nothing that you could possibly say, do, or show them that will sway their beliefs.
In science, we are forced to change our understanding of the world based on new evidence. In religion, we only have to look at the evidence that supports our prior views, and ignore everything else.

Like they can spell chromosome. These nuts prefer blind faith to intelligence and thought. They frequently believe that evolution says that someday a chimpanzee will give birth to a human baby. Not the brightest bulbs in the chandelier.

well, some people say that one of god's "days" in which he supposedly created the world, was not actually a day but millions of years. So in effect they are suggesting that evolution was the process by which humans were created... god just started with a single cell and we became humans over this "60 million year day". Sounds pretty stupid huh? That's because it is... totally... stupid. It's such a cop out.

So what exactly is your point? Is your goal for someone to say, "hey, you've shown me the light", or what? For the record, you're not educating anyone, you're simply doing what you people accuse christians of doing all the time, trying to unconvert believers. Tell me, if you succeeded, would you then be happy?
By the way, having the same number of chromosomes does not in any way prove man evolved from ape. Try again.
Wow, the hatemongering christian bashers are out in force today, getting more rude and insulting every day. And they call us pushy! At least we're not rude and insulting. I don't really get why they care what we believe, I could care less what they do or don't believe.

Well, Chimpanzees, and all the great apes have 48 chromosomes, not 46 like humans.
So denying your proposition is simple based on this prima facia, incontrovertible evidence

I've heard the genetic similarities argument a lot.
I wonder how it is that, if we have such similarities, human women never give birth to chimps?
(Do you think it's because nature doesn't just count chromosomes?)

People became disconnected from nature, they imposed order upon it by separating man's habitat from the animals. Couple that with creation mythology, man was made like a piece of pottery by a supreme being, no wonder people are confused
