The earth sits about 15 billion light years away from the farthest observable galaxies. (For reference, life is generally thought to have arisen on Earth about 4.3 billion years ago.)

Does God reside all the way at the edge of the universe as well as here, does God travel faster than light, or does God ignore one part of creation while attending to another part?

They've measured thought. It moves much slower than the speed of light.

Astronomical reasearch on the "Big Bang theory" indicates that all matter for our solar system (Sun, Planets, Moons, Astroids):

"G'day Giggles

When the Big Bang went off there were no stars, no planets, no space, no time and no matter. At some point in the process these condensed like mist on a mirror. After some time had passed since the first ka-blooie the space in which the process was happening is thought to have expanded very rapidly for a quite short period. This idea of very rapid expansion is called a theory of "inflation". There are a few different theories of inflation. The reason there are a few different theories of inflation is that there is not yet enough known or otherwise understood about the whole process to eliminate some of them.

If the period of inflation was very short, the expansion would have to have been faster than the speed of light. If it was a bit slower, it would not have had to do so. In either case it seems that inflation lasted less than a second.

It was not for some time after the absolute start that atoms began to form, before that it was too hot. Nearly all the atoms were hydrogen with a little helium and quite a while afterwards, like millions of years, they began to contract together by gravity to form the first stars. Many of these stars were very big and only lasted a short while, like several million years. (The bigger a star is, the shorter time it exists). The ferocious nuclear reactions inside the stars cooked the hydrogen atoms together to form heavier elements like carbon, and when these huge stars blew up, they also produced all the very heavy elements up to uranium.

This sort of thing went on for several generations of stars until things in the Universe had cooled down and got a bit quieter. By the time our Sun started to form the Universe was already about 10 thousand million years old. It was not for some time after the start of the formation of our Sun that Earth formed, and that seems to have been close to 4,500 million years ago. So our Sun and Earth are about a third the age of the Universe and had plenty of time to "get" here.

Look up the "first three minutes" and "theory of inflation". "

In short, this scientific reaserch leaves a BIG possibility that God travels faster than light.

Although fixed in His abode, the Personality of Godhead is swifter than the mind and can overcome all others running. The powerful demigods cannot approach Him. Although in one place, He controls those who supply the air and rain. He surpasses all in excellence.
PURPORT
Through mental speculation, even the greatest philosopher cannot know the Supreme Lord, who is the Absolute Personality of Godhead. He can be known only by His devotees through His mercy. In the Brahma-samhitä (5.34) it is stated that even if a nondevotee philosopher travels through space at the speed of the wind or the mind for hundreds of millions of years, he will still find that the Absolute Truth is far, far away from him.

the observable universe is 15 billion lightyears in all directions but the best models show the universe may be 85 billion lightyears wide. remeber its expanding faster then light

so the galaxies we can see at the edge of the observable universe are actually much much farther away, we see them as they were 10-12 billion yrs ago, and if there are any "people" on those galaxies then they see our region of space the same as we see theres

God is a man and yes he can teleport anywhere he wants. He lives in heaven (Or as we Mormons call it, Zion) and he can tend everything at the same time because for Him, it has already happened. He is God and He created everything after all. It is all around us and yet very far away. The closer we are to God, the closer we are to heaven. Can you feel it when you pray? We will know the details of the power and love of God soon enough.

God bless you and your friend and family.

God is not subject to material considerations. Light is created by God, and is therefore subordinate. God created the material universe, and God maintains the material universe, while remaining in the spiritual universe. God can expand Himself innumerable times without losing any of His absolute quality. God can live within your heart, and live in His spiritual abode at the same time. We can realize this aspect of God with the analogy of the sun:

When the sun comes up in the morning, it is light everywhere at the same time, but we don't say that the sun is in our room. This is the all-pervasive aspect of the sun. The sun remains in the sky, but the sunlight is everywhere. The sunlight is non-different than the sun, but it is not the sun. Similarly, God is all-pervasive. He is maintaining the entire universe, and yet is remaining in His spiritual abode, just like the sun is remaining in the sky.

The best answer you will ever receive about GOD is by asking HIM yourself. The mere fact that you use the courage to ask Him is HE real, where HE is and does HE actually exist will certainly get you an answer from HIM. It may not be an instant answer, but you will definitely know it is HIM. The only criteria is that you be sincere in your questioning and ask HIM for yourself. Remember: No GOD or man honors an insincere & mocking question. GOD is OmniPresent & OmniPotent. Seeking an answer is the best way to find one.

GOD IS LIGHT! HE IS THE BEGINNING AND THE END. HE IS EVERYWHERE AT ONCE.

If heaven is 15 billion light years away how come God can take us up in the twinkling of the eye? Maybe God knows a lot more than man knows!!!!

Quantum-entangled particles communicate instantly over any distance. One possible explanation of this is the propagation of wavefunctions in the quantum vacuum. If there are such wavefunctions, they travel superluminally -- one estimate is 10^9 c. Maybe God is the quantum vacuum.

God is multidimensional where as the universe is four dimensional. God can exist at all places and at all times at once. Only inside this tiny universe are we limited to time and space,
