I just asked "Isn't it lonely, empty and frightening being an Athiest or Agnostic?" and am shocked by how many people thrashed on me for asking a simple question. Why are agnostics and athiests so defensive and quick to judge? I asked if it is lonely and empty because to myself, as a Christian, I would feel very much of both if I no longer felt God's presence in my life. I asked if it is frightening because I am curious if any of you acknowledge the fact that anything is possible, and if Christians are correct- that there is a creator called God and that Jesus did die for our sins, why would you chance it? Why not acknowledge the possibility. I'm not peddaling my religion- but you people sure know how to pedal your anti-religion!

doesn't it follow that all forms of our seeking Him have His Truth in them, as He gave us the faculties in which to Imagine? Aren't Science, Philosophy and Religon all forms of faith bases systems to some degree?

(you can substitue God for any god of your choosing, but I am meaning power/source/origin which there is none greater.)

Can you please explain why you the cow is consider sacred, and why isn't it eaten?

Wouldn't it be a great honor to consume the flesh of a sacred animal and wear it?

Luk 4:41 And demons also came out of many, crying, "You are the Son of God!" But he rebuked them and would not allow them to speak, because they knew that he was the Christ.

According to Mat 4:6 Devils were good at quoting scriptures.. So how didn't they know that the Christ will die for our sins?

Mat 4:6 And said to him, "If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, for it is written, "'He will command his angels concerning you,' and "'On their hands they will bear you up, lest you strike your foot against a stone.'"

So neither disciple not devils knew that Jesus would die for our sins... which proves that the death of Messiah was not mentioned in Old Testament or taught by Christ himself.

I am a Christian, well at least I was baptised that way, sad to say I've never practised much since a child. At the min I just feel lost with life, Like I'm searching for something but don't know what it is. My life feels empty and worthless so to speak, is Christ the thing I am searching for?? If so how do I go about becoming a devote Christian?

Many years ago I received one in the mail that said if I did not respond that something terrible would happen with-in 5 days. I ignored the letter and on the fifth day, my son and I were in a terrible auto accident. My son was unhurt but I had a ruptured liver and after surgery spent nine days in the hospital. Afterwards, I became very afraid of chain letters, distressed everytime I received one, until finally I went to spiritual counceling and learned that as a Christian I don't have to fear, for greater is He that is in me, than he that is in the world. I believe that chain mail falls under superstitions and divination, just like fortune cookies and such. They can be innocently decieving drawing people away from relying on the truth of God's word. The devil can come, appearing as an angel of light to decieve . Has anyone have any thoughts on this subject?

I just read a question that sort of put a spin on the Pascal's wager: Who would lose more if they were proven wrong, the religious person or the atheist. Obviously the answer, by an infinite margin, is the religious person.

So my question to atheists...I can appreciate your skepticism, but many of you act as if you delight in "proving" your position... Who in their right mind would WANT to be right in that belief???

i saw a few claim they did earlier. and want to hear from those who claim they talk in tongues.

what languages are they in? and if u dont know how can u understand them? and if u cant understand them how do you know what your saying? and if its cause gods spirit is in you controlling you, then hes taken away free will.

why not pray in english? if god can understand it why bother with "tongues". if he cant then why does anyone bother praying in english?

am i the only one seeing through this act of being "on fire" for god that you fall to the floor speaking in languages u dont even understand?

Even if you do not solicit them but, just seeing them can be damaging I believe because they may appear in your mind at any time unbidden and actually be torture for you because it exercises the sin within you. What is your opinion?

Believe it or not, this place is pure evil. you can sense it in this house. your neck hair stands up. I've seen things and heard things. I'm just curious, because it would be nice to prove to people that something bad has happened here. thanks.
