It isn't just the fact that there is no temple, but there are no Levite priests to perform them. God needs to bring them back if he wants his sacrifices.

For the sacrifices to take place, there must be an Altar in The Temple. Initially, a portable Temple was constructed for the purpose. Once the first Temple was built, its location became the only location on which the sacrifices could take place. The first temple was destroyed around 500 BCE or so and the second in 66 CE. No Temple...no Altar...no Altar....no sacrifices. When the Temple is rebuilt, the sacrificial service will be re-instituted.

See,that's a problem.Jesus told them in Matthew 24 that Jerusalem would be destroyed and that not one stone would be left standing in the Temple. He told them that in 33 A.D....It was destroyed just as He said in 70 A.D. by the Romans and there has been no Temple since. No where to have the "Blood Atonement".God never freed them from that Law.Jesus was the final sacrifice for sins and they didn't recognize it .Now they are left with only man made traditions. Some swing a chicken others only fast on Yom Kippur.God never let you guys off the hook. They need an atonement "Sanctified" by God not just some Rabbi. That was said in love, not scorn.

What Kallan said is correct.
Not only do they not have a temple. I mean they could have a temple like Moses, I mean it was just a tent, but they no longer know what tribe they belong to. And only the tribe of Levi can perform the Temple duities.

when the Temple was consecrated it was made the permanent site for all the sacrifices of Israel.
If you convince the Arabs to let us on and locate the alter site and set up a new one I would be more than happy to start bringing sacrifices again.
arg paulywog show me where in the Bible it says you need a sacrifice to remove sin and I will give you $1,000

Animal sacrifies did not forgive sin , it simply "rolled" them forward. People of the Old Testament were looking forward to the cross, today we look back at the cross. Jesus is the perfect Lamb. The blood he shed paid for the sins of everyone in all times. The Bible tells us today to be "living sacrifices, holy and acceptable before God." We are not to offer burnt offerings anymore, because our entire life is to be a sacrifice and lived for God alone.

A Jewish person can explain it to you better, but for the most part, they don't follow the Christian Bible. They have a version of the Old Testament in Hebrew. And, it was descibed to me by a Hasitic Jewish friend of mine that they do not view their Old Testament in the light that Christians view the Bible. It is important, but it is not an unchanging rulebook for salvation. They use other texts and tradition to fill out their religion.

Because when Jesus died, animal sacrifices were no longer needed. HE became the final sacrifice (The Lamb that was slain) for our sins.
