if a religious people proved wrong and there weren't any God[s] then he or she would loose a big part from their lifes, if not all their lifes.

if an atheist proved wrong, then God would close the gates to the Heaven for them. But they can say to Him ''i had no proofs'' and God will forgive them..

so, who's the winner?

A fundamentalist Christian is one who takes every single cryptic story the bible literally, like believing the world was created in 24-hour days; But the Bible has clearly stated what is right and what is wrong- that part isn't cryptic and pretty straight-foward, so listening to that part of the Bible wouldn't make me a fundamentalist Christian, just a Christian, and it's unfair to say otherwise.

Just because I don't rewrite what's right and wrong for my own convenience doesn't make me a fundamentalist- deal with it.

Everyhting he wrote in his pre-war speech has come to pass. Read all of the speech at the following site.
http://en.wikisource.org/wiki/Barack_Obama%27s_Iraq_Speech
"Saddam poses no imminent and direct threat to the United States, or to his neighbors, that the Iraqi economy is in shambles, that the Iraqi military a fraction of its former strength, and that in concert with the international community he can be contained until, in the way of all petty dictators, he falls away into the dustbin of history.
I know that even a successful war against Iraq will require a US occupation of undetermined length, at undetermined cost, with undetermined consequences.I know that an invasion of Iraq without a clear rationale and without strong international support will only fan the flames of the middle east, and encourage the worst, rather than best, impulses of the Arab world, and strengthen the recruitment arm of Al Queda. I am not opposed to all wars. I’m opposed to dumb wars."-Obama

If you had an open wound and I offered to put cat droppings on it (as per standard ancient egyptian medical practice) would you accept it or just let it fester on its own? Now, I understand that modern medicine would say that the bacteria in the droppings would cause septicemia, but this was widely accepted thousands of years ago, so it can save you too!

This is the kind of logic being used to sway people to Jesus.. someone please explain how this makes any kind of sense.

Does it mean that you have to re-examine your faith or can you accept that perhaps the earth wasn't formed in 6 days and that some myth is a part of your bible? Does evolution have to be discounted because the bible doesn't jive with it?

It isn't intellectually demanding to understand the Gospel. It seems that many subscribe to the belief but not all take it to the heart. When watching the to Catch a Predator show it is obvious that some of the predators know the gospel and claim the gospel but how can you committ terrible sins and still be okay and still be saved? I don't think you can. I don't think you can fully commit to Jesus and still commit crimes. Which is to me why works are really alot more important then the typical christian portrays. Faith without works is dead and salvation without faith is gone.

People ask about the TBN folks a lot, and we all know what went on with Jim Bakker. However Billy Graham has always been seen as a decent person as far as I know. What is your take on him?

(Christians only please!!!) I have been a Christian all my life and last year I just got baptized, rededicated my life to christ, fell under the spirit for the first time, got on fire for God, and began speaking in tongues. So, I'm still getting used to some things. But, I feel bad sometimes because I find myself doubting others walk with God.I've done it a few times, I dont know if I'm insecure with my own walk with God or maybe its jealousy...

but, for instance, at church, in youth group, a few weeks ago we had a prayer group for those wanting more of God and the HOly Spirit, and the ability to speak in tongues, I already had it by this point, so when I was praying in tongues quietly to myself in the group, my best friend was next to me and she was copying every word in tongues that i said...and i stopped praying because i noticed this and then she stopped to

there has been other occasions like this, but have any of you ever doubted others walk with God?
